Siemens Gamesa Hull Blade Factory

We’re looking forward to you joining us here at the Hull Blade Factory and would like to share some useful information to support you in the first few weeks of your new job.
This induction booklet will give you an overview of all the essentials of the Hull Blade Factory and what you can expect when you arrive.
Questions? You should contact your line manager for anything that comes up before, or after, you start your new role, or you might find the answer in the FAQs section at the back of this booklet.
Hull is now at the centre of the UK renewables sector. Our state-of-the-art factory began production in September 2016, and to date we have manufactured over 2000 wind turbine blades! We recently underwent a £186m expansion of the facility to allow us to continue to build bigger and better blades into the future.
Our production line builds 108-metre blades for offshore wind turbines all around the world. At our pre-assembly area, blades and the other essential components necessary to build offshore wind turbines, including towers and nacelles, are loaded at the purpose-built three-berth dock, ready for shipping out via the Humber Estuary.
SGRE wind turbines, products and technologies are being used in over 90 countries across five continents, onshore and offshore.
We employ around 1,000 people at the Alexandra Dock site, with 97 per cent of employees living within 30 miles of the site.
The site encompasses the blade factory, reception and offices, offshore service buildings, and the port side.
Siemens Gamesa provides world-class solutions to help tackle the world's major challenges and sets new standards for progress in societies worldwide.
Together, our amazing people in Hull are setting new benchmarks of innovation to create a global centre of excellence in offshore wind turbine manufacturing, assembly, storage, load-out and servicing facilities.
Our Mission
“Making quality blades, safely and efficiently, for a cleaner future.”
Our Culture
“We are an inclusive environment where everybody works together and takes ownership to make us better tomorrow than we are today.”
