Quantum Computing: The Future is Now Shwetha Jayaraj 12/05/2019

Abstract: The following research on quantum computing will investigate explorations & innovation that companies that both corporate and start-up alike have achieved in the quantum sector within the most recent years. The differences between each company’s approach is probed as well as the significant contributions to this new computing space is further explained as a means to help solve many of humanity’s great incomplete (or NP-complete in computer scientist terms) problems. Upon findings, the audience should grasp the monumental implications of what quantum computing could suggest, particularly in the area of global economic system transformation as well as the plethora of socio-economic changes created with the advent of quantum supremacy. Introduction: Quantum computers have the ability to change life in every fathomable way as know it today. Often disregarded as a technology several decades into the future, quantum computing implications will have shown its effects much sooner than we may think. The race to the most efficient quantum computer is a competition that all of the world’s largest tech companies are currently battling to win. With this, the importance of our awareness in this race grows ever more significant. The rise of the quantum age will be upon us sooner that we predict, and the more we know, the more prepared we can be for its many consequences in our world. The idea that many don’t understand about quantum computers is that unlike how classical computers have worked and behaved for the past 50 and more years, we will now have computing power using the laws of physics rather than the laws of mathematics to solve any kind
