the capital city of Veneto region ,have been known for its canals,boats and the colorful heritage. Getting down to the core o f it we explore many interesting facts about the city.

One of the striking feature of the city is its light treatment through the movement. Every corridor adds drama into the alternate darkness and lightness of the narrow street. We can closely relate the idea of play of light to the theatre and acts ,forming integral part of Venesian land.

Discrete in its function,the city of lagoons has its services peculiarly framed.

,allow flexible pedestrain movement around the lagoons and boats to enter the lagoon from outer pheriphery.Apart from the function,they provide great tourist attraction, for the views it offers and the elevated pride it sinks in one’s mind.

The openness of the space is attained by keepping the edge of the water free and bridging the promenades with open ends.

While,the interiors of the lagoon have closed edgeline,giving it sense of privacy and security.Te bridging strategies is also applied to housing by acending levels of sunrooms that offer views to the canal.

Winter in Venice marked great rise in sea level causing floods in most part of the city c alled Aqua Alta. The regular thoroughfare of people are services experineced a great trouble during the period. The canals overflowed the edgeline causing misleading walkways and also caused severe accidents to poeple passing by. The great concentration on use of waterways for movement was pressurized by the only available means in the noks and corners o f the city.

is an perfect overview to the Art and architectural arrangement of Venice and celebration of different artist for their works.Different ideas,emotions and explorations came into picture,when several artist showcased their work as a part of venice Biennale held at Arsennale and Giardini in Venice. The strategic location of old ship building warehouse at Arsennale and open pavilions from various cities at Giardini composed a statutory display of art inside architec ture and Vice versa.

lies in its different elevational treatment along the canals that travel in and around the lagoon.From Baroque style churches to Renaissance style housing complexes and from Gothic styles churches to contemporary housing complexes,the fabric of venice adds Drama to the land of canals.The vibrancy to otherwise dull lagoon waters is brought in through colorful facades and intricalte rows of openings to the building. These openings,puncturing the fasacdes allow penetration of natural and artificial light during the day and night.Reflection of such light in the canal water is the most beautiful sight in Venice.

at venice could be seen along the narrow alleys of the buildings.The busy life of cities is contradicted by laid back trading lanes of Venice. Art and commerce form backbone of the city’s economy. Restaurants and souvinier shops work day and night in service of tourists creating large markets for handmade artworks and italian delicacies.

is an magnificient cemetry project near treviso,Italy. Although the cemtery design was propsed for chnages,Scarpa completed it just before his accidental death in 1978. The cemetry is was initially deisgned for Brion family but with purchase of large land,the project became a large garden along with the tomb for the town. The deep emotional bond between the Brion couple was portraed wih the slnting grave. Architect’s inspiration from Japan can be seen in clean lines and contemporary design form of prayer room and his own grave.

is island near venice famouse for its Glass factory with secrets of glass manufactured art since roman period.The story of glass making,unfolds its story through the shops located along the canals,dislaying glass products made to perfection. The idea of colored glass and the vibrancy of the islands commerce can also be seen refelcted along the vibfrant architecture of it. The architecture clsoely resembles romanesque style with arrays of openngs forming long conitnuous facade of the buildings that merge into the canals.

are known for their master pieces in form of Architcture and sculture that formed important characteristic of the cities of treviso.Palladio and Canova are two famous names in the history of Italian Architecture and art. The style that formed the basis of expansive scale and expressional motif,still adorns the palaces, villas and the art galleries of treviso region.The blend of landscape and people are the most striking interest of both the artists.

Foster + Partners deisgned the apple store liberty considering shopping square in context. The store is located under an amphitheater used for recreational purposes.The staircase riser provide natural light source through glass partition and the entrance water screen acts as a inviting element to the store below.

offered its glorifying view to the Piazza del Duomo and its optimum use during Christmas. The Famous Milan Cathedral displays the gothic style of building & construction with stone masonry forming iconic gothic elements like spire,pinnacles and flying buttresses.

The dialogue between the large monument and equally monumnetal piazza can be understood with an idea of festive gathering that accomodates the sprawl of population under one land adding the liveliness.

is well known for the Eiffle Tower amongst the 8 wonders of the world. Its Presene in the city’s Sky line has markable impact on the current scenario. The Eiffle Tower strkingly stands in the same frame with church and still amazes oneself with the complex nature of construction.

Against the spiking lightpoles,built forms and subways, it continues to merge and becomes of the part of the whole picture. Most built forms of the city elongates in upward direction and hence rightly forms homogenous impact on the fabric of the city.The giant Golden dome is an recent addition to the Cathedrale de la Sainte Trinite,Paris,giving,contemporary effect to the skyline of the city.

to everyone that has known this city,it is one capital of museums and art galleries in Europe.

The view from Clock tower in Louvre Museum provides a perfect example of citys density in two way. The viewers perspective defines the intricate play of built and narrow unbuilt that facilitates the busy lifetsyle of the city verses the tenants perspective defines secure environment and laid back living contrary to it.

Amongst the Resnaisance philosophy,the clean surfaces of domes and arches in the museum gives contemporary effect to the architecture of the building.

is a small spa town in Germany.

As a part of Germany’s Black Forest,the town gained popularity with its laid back lifestyle and mineral water abundance that povides rejuvinated treatment. The ruins of baths also unfold the history of baden baden.

The initimate setting of pitched roof houses against the old ruins and mountains form the picturesque facade of the town. The undulated land ,narrow streets and low lying building make a striking example of a humble town with services build to comfort.

,along the french border,is an stunning example of Gothic and modern architceture in france. The narrow streets open vistas with old renaisance buildings with arrays of windows ,ventilating the core. The most thrilling view of the city amalgamating its public life during Christmas is long the canals. The pitched roof architectue unfolds itself along the acsending waterway. The canal system in the city,one of the oldest feature,has still remains characteristic navigation guide.

is an small town along the French-German border. Adorned with tiny colorful houses and exotic christmas market,this city is a treat to visitors and locals. The commerce runs hand in hand with communal upliftment along the town with its public buildings used as gathering spaces. The vast expanse of area along the meandering streets and cathedrals created intimate public spaces for feast,books,shops and entertainment. The otherwise calm and quiet town dressed up into winter fairy land in december,attracting many tourists.
