The purpose Every session we cover an aspect of education that is not necessarily part f a teacher training manual. We explore theory and practice, we look at what this might mean, how it feels, what does it say to us as individuals. This journal approach is way to collect those reflections.

Collectively, they will provide a resource you have generated through experience to use in your presentation assignment.

The suggested approach here is Gibb’s (1988) Reflective Cycle which you will be familiar with from Year One.

Expectation As each session concludes we will create a space for you to write out your reflections. These will develop over the weeks and hopefully the reflective process will allow you to explore a rage of approaches to our roles as educators. There is no assessment of these reflections, but the work you do will be valuable to you as a resource in your development across the Alternative Education module.
