Sam Houston Innovative Partner Schools (SHIPS

The Sam Houston Innovative Partnership for Schools (SHIPS) is a partnership compromised of the Educator Preparation Program at SHSU and the independent school district partners in the region of Texas that is served by the university. The majority of these districts fall within a 75mile radius of the university. This group was established in order to create a mutually beneficial partnership between the EPP and school district partners that adds value to the institutions through the collaborative process of preparing future teachers for Texas. The SHSU College of Education is proud to partner with 81 area school districts in SHIPS. The group meets once each fall and spring semester in order to share information, make future plans, and consider issues that could have implications for SHIPS.
