Staff need to be able to maintain, develop and enhance their skills and competence both professionally and personally to develop into truly inspirational and inclusionist practitioners, to enable our students to develop a set of skills and knowledge that prepares them for future learning, the workplace and to play a leading role in future industry an growth.

To be an innovative, inspirational and inclusive college delivering high quality education and training, we need our staff, as individuals, to keep up to date with rapidly changing knowledge and the challenges of an ever changing world.

Contribute to further improving the quality of teaching, learning, tutoring and assessment across the College through well targeted learning and professional development programmes and effective support to managers, to enable a high quality student experience that enables personal growth, development and the confidence to achieve their ambitions.

Establish a 'quality first teaching' approach to all learning to ensure all staff become 'inclusionists' ensuring high expectations and aspirations, support and challenge for all.

To attract, retain and develop an ambitious, high performing and professional workforce committed to delivering excellence to all.

To increase the digital capabilities and capacity of all staff to ensure our students develop their capabilities in preparation for the workplace.

Learning objectives should be based on clear identifiable outcomes, and serve organisational as well as individual goals.

Managers are responsible for encouraging and supporting staff, and providing feedback, as appropriate.

Individual staff are responsible for determining what they need to learn, and for managing and undertaking their own CPD activity.

College wide CPD for all staff to include mandatory and optional training.
