“ADOBEOFTHECONE”
"Shankulaya" (शकलाय) is a G+6 hostel building designed with a biomimetic approach, drawing inspiration from the adaptive structure of a pine cone. The design seamlessly integrates passive climate control strategies, creating a comfortable and sustainable living environment. Through angled balconies, a central courtyard, and nature-responsive materials, Shankulaya fosters energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and a connection with nature.

Shankulaya is more than just a hostel—it is a living, breathing structure that harmonizes with its environment. Inspired by the functional genius of the pine cone, this hostel adapts, protects, and nurtures, offering students a space that is both sustainable and serene.

Outside of design and architecture, I love immersing myself in creative things like reading, writing, capturing moments through photography, singing when the mood strikes, and expressing myself through sketching and painting.
