Faculty reflection on student works at ISDI, Mumbai The spatial experience of an individual has no boundaries. It is a progression of one experience informed by the contextual surroundings to another situated in ranging expanse of a room to a building to a city. The project builds upon inter-relations of sites within the urban context of Mumbai, introducing a simple series of mapping exercises and proposing a programmatic insertion. The course attempts to draw attention to how the layering of different methodological tools through the design process can enrich ways in which we see, think and eventually produce more innovative and relevant formal design strategies, stressing the importance of digital fabrication in the making process.
