Adulting 101 Thursday, August 17th 6:30pm Join us at the Brooks Public Library where you will learn how to live with roommates, find an apartment, talk to landlords, and other necessities of moving out. This is a free drop in program geared toward ages 16+

Make a Change: One Meal at a Time Wednesday, August 30th 6:30pm Join a Registered Dietitian to learn about easy, healthy changes you can make to your meals This is a free drop in program

Reader’s Choice Book club Tuesday, August 8th 6:30pm This is a free, drop in program for all ages

Pick your own book, read it, and then share. Get recommendations, discuss themes and characters and have a great time!

Teen Potluck Book Club Wednesday, August 16th, 6:30pm Come join us for Teen Book Club! This month we will be discussing Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. This Book Club is a pot luck so bring a yummy treat for everyone to share! This is a free, drop in programs for teens 13-17

Harry Potter’s Birthday Celebration for Teens Tuesday, August 1st 6:30pm Come to the library where there will be Harry Potter activities and cake in celebration of Harry Potter’s birthday. Costumes are encouraged!! This is a free drop in program for teens 13-17 years

The Ernestine Hatpin Show Friday, August 11th 2:00pm The Ernestine Hatpin Show is back! Their 30-45 minute sets are jam-packed with interactive songs that will make you dance, sing, clap, and skip! This is a free drop in program for all ages

Summer Reading

August 2017

Adult Summer Reading Challenge Books made into Movies July 3rd– August 25th 16 books chosen by us, 1 Grand Prize Answer a skill testing question about each book to be entered to win a prize valued at over $100. Read all 16 and be entered 16 times!! Ask us for details and book list

Teen Summer Reading Program Read a book, fill out a form, get a chocolate bar! The teen who reads the most pages wins the grand prize. Grand Prize is a penny for every page read, with a maximum payout for $250 Contest ends Friday, September 1st

Summer Passport Reading Challenge July 3rd—August 25th Two leveled groups Children’s books—Yellow Passports Chapter/series books—Blue Passports Stickers and prizes to be won! The more you read, the better chance you have at winning the GRAND PRIZE valued at $100 Ask us for details
