Discovery
Summer Discovery provides a fun and safe summer camp environment for your child. This program includes 10 weeks of childcare with the option to register for specialty themed days and a specialty week. Select from three, four, or five days per week.

Adventure Quest is filled with crafts, games, songs, sports, and other activities! Participants will have fun stretching their imaginations, staying active, and making new friends. Choose which weeks you would like to attend! Nut-free snacks are provided.

Looking to develop leadership skills and build your resume? We are looking for youth who want real-world, hands-on experience to volunteer at our playground program. Leaders in Training will assist instructors with Adventure Quest and have opportunities to gain valuable leadership skills.

Join our babysitting boot camp and learn the basics of babysitting and first aid! Participants will learn to provide safe, responsible care for children, as well as develop skills in leadership, safety, and first aid. The course includes a handbook and emergency guide as well as physical and online resources for first aid care. Students will put together a small first aid kit and receive a first aid certificate after successful course completion.

This camp is perfect for those who love extraordinary cars and thrilling race action. Explore the world of robotics using LEGO®’s Systems. Working in small teams, students will build cars and dragsters with motors and sensors, and learn about the programming process along the way. On the last day they will create their own car and compete in a racing tournament.

Create YOUR OWN VIDEO GAME! Love video games? Young students can create their platform video games! Choose your storyline with your favorite superheroes as your stars. Add challenges and difficulty levels. Then, share them by email or post them on the web to challenge family and friends. Immerse yourself in the wizarding world of Harry Potter by crafting and building iconic locations like Hogwarts Castle or Diagon Alley within Minecraft. Harness the power of Redstone to create magical effects, from floating candles to moving staircases. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Yes, we CAN learn about robotics! With the LEGO® WeDo robotics system, young children can build and program their robotic creations. Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches children about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Young imaginations soar! The LEGO® Education WeDo Robotics Builder class allows students to explore different concepts in robotics. Possible models may include dancing birds, a hungry alligator robot, goal kicker robot, a rescue plane, and a smart spinner robot. Students will be working in pairs.

Make science come to life! This class is powered by the LEGO® WeDo systems and scratch software. Students working in pairs will explore the exciting world of robotics! Learn programming skills, engineering concepts, and the names of robot components. Summer Chess Camp
Chess camp teaches:
• math concepts & strategizing skills
• memory building skills & critical thinking
Open to all levels of players. The professional coaches divide the room by abilities. Beginners learn basic game rules and opening tactic moves. Intermediate and advanced players learn sophisticated combinations and strategies and advanced opening moves. Best of all - chess is fun!

Green and white volleyball camps
Come join local high school coach Tom Weko for two weeks of learning the game of volleyball. Players will be grouped by grade and playing ability with a maximum 8:1 player to coach ratio. Fundamental skills will be taught based on age and ability. Contests and games will be held daily. Participants should bring knee pads, wide wristbands (optional), a water bottle, and a great attitude. Participants will receive a t-shirt. Register based on child’s grade for the 2025-26 school year

Cheers, chants, jumps and basic stunts will be taught by energetic staff from Planet Spirit. Parents are invited to watch a skills performance on the last day of class. All equipment is provided. Wear comfortable clothing. Participants will be divided by age.

Come and learn the basics of bowling. Kids get shoes, lunch and instruction. As a bonus, campers get to experience Bowlopolis, an animated bowling city. Wear or bring socks. These camps focus on fundamentals by using ageappropriate drills, games, and contests. Participants receive a t-shirt. Camp is coached by Mounds View coach, Dave Leiser. Register based on child’s grade for the 2025-26 school year.

Whether your child is a beginning or intermediate player, this program will improve their game and help them get more enjoyment from tennis. Our tennis programs focus on skill refinement as well as practice and match play to develop consistent, well-rounded tennis players. Skyhawks staff also instill positive life skills such as respect and sportsmanship. Participants will be grouped by age and ability.

These camps provide fundamental skill development with an emphasis on fun! Players learn the core skills and techniques used in each sport and then practice these skills in a number of games and scrimmages. All campers receive quality instruction, a water bottle, and a sportsmanship award.
