Excitement fills the air as the annual Brigantine Triathlon gears up for another thrilling event on August 10, 2024

Beyond the thrill of the race, what sets this triathlon apart is how the sponsorship dollars are utilized to support various non-profit organizations on the island

In 2023, the Brigantine Triathlon allocated 50% of its sponsor dollars to support key local initiatives including the Brigantine Rams, Brigantine Baseball and Softball, the Brigantine LIT program, The Brigantine Community School Garden, and the popular Polar Bear Plunge. The impact of these contributions reverberated throughout the community, fostering a sense of togetherness and support

SEASIDE PARTNERS

The remaining 50% of the sponsorship funds were directed towards Green Whales, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization working in collaboration with the Brigantine Aquatic Center This partnership aims to provide free swim programs to the children of the Brigantine Community School, promoting water safety and swimming skills among the youth

For the upcoming year, Green Whales, Inc has outlined an impressive roster of initiatives to benefit the local students First graders will have the opportunity to partake in four free swimming lessons in May, coinciding with water safety month Fifth and sixth graders will receive advanced safety training and beginner swim lessons during the school day, integrated into the Brigantine Community School Flex program. Furthermore, seventh and eighth graders with proficient swim skills will have access to the American Red Cross Junior Lifeguard and CPR training course, culminating in a certification upon completion

Adding a touch of excitement, Whelan the Whale, the beloved mascot of Green Whales, Inc , will be visiting preschool classes at the Brigantine Community School to deliver a compelling water safety assembly, engaging young minds and fostering a culture of safety around water

On April 15, 2024, Sotheby's International Realty announced the opening of Poland Sotheby's International Realty, the brand's 194th European office in Warsaw, Poland The office is headquartered in the prestigious Europejski building in Warsaw's city center Poland is an Eastern European country nestled between Russia and Germany It is a beautiful country very dear to my heart, especially my birth city of Warsaw, which was built in the13th and 14th centuries on the high bank of the Vistula River Warsaw is a historical city with a tumultuous past Once called the "Paris of the East", it was one of Europe's most beautiful cities until it was destroyed in World War II Over the past decades, Warsaw has rebuilt itself and risen from the ashes, emerging again as one of Europe's most beautiful and thriving cities It showcases a perfect blend of new and old world charm

As the capital and largest city of Poland, Warsaw serves as its economic, cultural and political hub The Luxury real estate market has significantly grown in Warsaw, making it a perfect location for the very first Poland Sotheby's International Office

My love affair with Warsaw began many years ago, as a young child My grandparents' brownstone in the Praga neighborhood kindled my love of architecture and design My grandparents, both hairdressers, survived WWI and WWII and lived to tell gripping stories of their experiences, from dodging bullets to watching homes bombed and even their time spent in work camps My grandparents' brownstone was located just blocks from Warsaw's Zoo, which was the location where the movie, The Zookeeper's Wife, was based on My grandfather was the zoo keeper's wife's hairdresser
