Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Schools around the country have had to completely change the way graduation ceremonies were conducted this year due to COVID-19, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t still be a memorable celebratory occasion. Cocalico School District, along with the help of countless community members and organizations, organized a special bus parade through downtown Denver and the surrounding areas. The parade route was approximately 45 minutes long and spectators along the route held signs and well wishes for students aboard the buses. Local first responders with lights and sirens added to the celebration as they escorted the procession alternating between each set of buses. Shown clockwise from top is the parade coming down Main Street with a banner hanging across the street; a fire truck holds a banner of congratulations; the Zwally family lines the sidewalk with signs for their graduate Gaven; a group holding signs honoring football players; and a balloon covered car brings up the rear of the parade convoy.
Elanco Library Events
The Eastern Lancaster County Library’s building remains closed until further notice. Their top priority is the safety and well being of their patrons and staff. Consistent with the Governor’s process to reopen PA and based on recommendations from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, they are
developing guidelines and procedures that will allow them to provide library services to the Eastern Lancaster County community in the safest manner possible. The Eastern Lancaster County Library operations will not immediately return to business as usual as the county moves to the Yellow Phase. Rather, they will begin to implement their tiered “return to service” plan. Contingent upon the county moving to Yellow Phase and the library
receiving necessary supplies (gloves, cleaning supplies, etc.) in time, the staff will return to the library building on Monday, June 8. You may return your items to their book drops starting on Monday, June 8 as well. The library plans to offer contactless curbside pickup starting on Monday, June 15. Once they firm up the plan for curbside pickup, the library will post detailed instructions on their website and social media. You can also sign up for email updates on their web page,
elancolibrary.org. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work together to ensure the health of the community. They look forward to serving you in person again as soon as possible! The library is unable to accept any movie or book donations at this time. All library events are offered virtually online. All events and activities can be found on their event calendar at elancolibrary.

All of their electronic resources (including our e-book and e-audio collection) will continue to be available: https:// lancasterlibraries.overdrive. com/ and http://online. lancasterlibraries.org/.
