I've known Natalie for almost 20 years at this point Our paths crossed when we were both students at Parsons in Paris Her drive, enthusiasm, and determination were hard to miss at a small school. She was one of those people you just knew was going to do something big and different.
Fast forward to today and she has done just that! Based in Los Angeles, Natalia is most well known for inventing stretch metal. She has created avant-garde designs and jewelry for many celebrities, including Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Doja Cat, Kylee Jenner, Shakira, Nicki Minaj the list is endless
What is stretch metal you may be asking? Natalia's stretch metal is a 100% metal textile that has 6 way stretch It instantaneously molds to the body and adopts to the head of the wearer within 15 seconds Because of how special Natalia's stretch metal is and her design process, each piece can take days to complete. I dare you to put it down once you pick it up. The feeling is addicting!
I'm proud to showcase Natalia's line here at the boutique Her Patented Chain Skinny Scarf has just arrived and sold out twice! Get yours while you can!
Beyonce Doja Cat Jennifer LopezThe Patented Chain Skinny Scarf is our first introduction to Natalia Fedner in our store, and it's AMAZING! It can be worn as a necklace and a belt, making it flexible for any outfit you might have.
Made with Natalia's patented chain maille technique, this scarf can stretch (it's honestly like magic)!
Come get yours today while you can!
Women's History Month is an annual observance in the United States, recognized in March, to celebrate the contributions and achievements of women throughout history.
The month-long celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on the progress made by women, acknowledge the challenges still facing them, and inspire future generations to continue to fight for gender equality
This striking and vibrant book features inspirational portraits of some of the most culturally seminal women in history, including Marie Curie, Maya Angelou, Mother Teresa, Peggy Guggenheim, First Lady Michelle Obama, Greta Thunberg, Queen Elizabeth II, Cleopatra, Rosa Parks, Frida Kahlo, Josephine Baker, Amanda Gorman, and even Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman.
From singers to writers, activists to artists, politicians to filmmakers, Icons is a celebration of the strength of women. Illustrated by Monica Ahanonu, each portrait is accompanied by a short biography about what makes each woman a force to be reckoned with.
Jane Austen was an English novelist who lived from 1775 to 1817 She is best known for her novels including "Pride and Prejudice," "Sense and Sensibility," "Mansfield Park", and "Emma," which are widely regarded as classics of English literature and are still widely read today.
Her works are known for their witty, satirical commentary on Georgian-era English society and their exploration of the lives and relationships of women in that society.
Rosa Parks was an African American civil rights activist best known for her role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott On December 1, 1955, Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, to a white passenger, sparking a boycott of the city's buses that lasted for over a year and was a significant turning point in the civil rights movement She was later arrested and fined, but her act of defiance inspired many others to join the fight for equality and has since become a symbol of the civil rights movement
Marie Curie was a Polish-born physicist and chemist who made pioneering contributions to the study of radioactivity She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person to win Nobel Prizes in two different sciences, receiving the award in Physics in 1903 and Chemistry in 1911 Curie's work paved the way for the discovery of new elements and revolutionized our understanding of the structure of matter, earning her a place in history as one of the most influential scientists of all time
Maya Angelou was an American poet, singer, and civil rights activist known for her influential memoir, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings " Born in St Louis, Missouri, in 1928, she grew up in a time of racial segregation and used her experiences to shed light on the injustices faced by African Americans in her writing Throughout her life, she was an outspoken advocate for civil rights and equality, using her art to inspire and empower others to fight against oppression
Ada Lovelace was an English mathematician and writer widely considered the world's first computer programmer Born in 1815, she was a collaborator and correspondent with Charles Babbage, the inventor of the first mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine Lovelace wrote the first algorithm intended to be processed by the machine, which she described as an "analytical engine" for creating mathematical and musical works, making her a visionary in computing
Amelia Earhart was an American aviation pioneer and the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean Unfortunately, she disappeared mysteriously while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937, attempting to fly around the world Despite her disappearance, Earhart remains an iconic figure in the history of aviation, inspiring future generations of pilots and serving as a symbol of courage and determination.
Audrey Hepburn was a British actress and humanitarian, widely regarded as one of the most classic and elegant stars of Hollywood's golden age She rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s, starring in films such as "Roman Holiday," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," and "My Fair Lady." In addition to her acting career, Hepburn was also a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, dedicating much of her later life to supporting the organization and its efforts to improve the lives of children around the world.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the event or watched the event on Instagram Live! This is something that's been in the works for a while and I'm SO SO happy that you enjoyed it (in my mind everybody loved it).
I can't remember the exact date I met Emily. It must have been at one of our spouses ' mutual friends' weddings or class reunions. Say that 5 times fast...
When I heard that Emily had written a novel, I knew we would carry it in the store, and I was so thrilled that she joined us for our first ever "Inside the Design Studio (LIVE!)" event!
Awkward would be one way to describe how I would feel if I hated or even intensely disliked Emily's debut novel, but My Thirty-First Year (And Other Calamities) is a striking, strong, and confident novel full of wit and humor that strikes deeply at what it means to be human, especially in the 21st century. While I'm probably not the core demographic she intended for this book, I devoured it.

It's only fitting that the first place that we recommend is our next-door neighbor, Craft Pita! Craft Pita is a staff favorite here at David Peck, and is an easy go-to on those especially busy days when we ' re swamped with non-stop appointments
If you love Mediterranean food, I cannot recommend Craft Pita enough. Not only is their food delicious, but their food is super healthy. The reason for this is that they source all goods from local farmers, ranchers, bakers, and purveyors who make sure that their proteins have been raised naturally with no hormones You can read more about where they get their ingredients here on their website.
We've partnered with Craft Pita so that if you shop with us in the month of March in person, you'll have a chance to win a $100 gift card to Craft Pita! Chicken Rice Bowl - Very filling and does not feel heavy. Comes with your choice of Lebanese rice, rice pilaf, or quinoa and is partnered with pickled turnips and your side of protein! Everything mixes together perfectly and you feel energized after eating it Definitely a staff favorite!
Lebanese Tacos - A fusion of traditional Lebanese cuisine and Mexican street food, resulting in a delicious and unique culinary experience that your taste buds will love you for! The fries inside the taco add a really nice touch by being fried to perfection with the perfect amount of crispiness on the outside, and I especially love the garlic aioli sauce that is used and spread in the taco!

We've meant to watch this for the longest time and finally got around to it! I loved the original Matilda (the book, I was the wrong age for the original movie) and my kids loved listening to the audiobook this last year
For those of you who have never read the book or watched the original movie, Matilda is a gifted and intelligent girl who loves to read. She has to deal with her neglectful parents and the cruel headmistress of her school, Miss Trunchbull. With the help of her kind teacher, Miss Honey, Matilda discovers her extraordinary powers and uses them to change her life positively.
There are a few minor changes from both the book and the original movie, but nothing too major to where the overall plot is changed
If you have time or need something to watch with the family, Matilda the Musical is a great watch! You might even be tempted to attempt the choreography that has been popping up all over TikTok!
Plugging it into the Peck meter, Matilda the Musical gets a...
