01 Technical drawing Interior detailing and retail spaces
Project Brief The Project was to design a restaurant/ a cafeteria in a business complex (Avenue One). I was given the entire ground floor of the complex, from which I had to select an area of around 350 sq. m. I was supposed to design the restaurant/ cafeteria in this given area. I chose to design a coffee shop+ bakery for the given area. The name of the coffee shop is “Bread n Beans, as it serves coffee related items as well as bakery items. The area for the space had to be around 350 sq. m, in which there should be area distribution for different areas. - Seating: 170 sq. m - Retail area: 50 sq. m
- Kitchen: 90 sq.m - Washroom- 15 sq.m
- Kitchen storage: 15 sq. m - Retail storage- 10 sq. m

02 Hospitality Inhabit- Homes to share Project Brief In this project the site was located in the very rich and deserted area of Ra jasthan, Jaisalmer. I had to design three micro apartments, one owner’s residence and a roof top cafe. In this haveli there were three floors (ground + two) and a terrace. Now keeping the surroundings, the history and the rich architecture of the region in mind, I had to design accordingly with a concept in mind. How was I planning to experience the spaces like and what kind of ambiance one would like to enjoy, keeping all these things in mind I had to design the interiors.

03 Structure design Designing a structure: material, construction and details Project Brief This Project is divided in two parts 1. Designing a Canteen and 2. Redesigning BRTS bus stand In both the parts, I was given a pallete of materials from which we had to select any two materials, in which the primary material should be our main structural material and the other one should be a non structural one, for e.g. Primary material (structural)- Brick and Secondary material (non-structural)- Steel. This project ma jorly focused on the structure and less on the interior aspect. For the second part there was a bit change that the secondary material chosen can be 15-20% used as a structural material.

04 Basic design. 1 City of objects Project Brief This semester had different projects. First I had to do an act on the term “Engraving. A model was made on the basis of the act. Then the project shifted to the city of objects, in which we had to select any object and make the object functional in terms of space.

05 Basic design. 2 Artist’s retreat Project Brief The project was a synchronisation of art, design and heritage. The site was at champaner behind the jami masjid. Now, art comes into play. I had to design an artist’s retreat where the artist would be working as well as staying for an year. My artist was El Lissitzky who was an artist, architect, photographer, designer, typographer, polemicist. So I took three of his passions and designed a retreat where the three spaces are divided yet interlinked with eachother so that he can get inspired by his own works.

06 Related study program Project Brief The heritage city ahmedabad has a lot of beautiful monuments, temples, ruins, and its houses. These houses are in the old city of ahmedabad where the spaces are very less and narrow and the people living there are more. I was supposed to measure the pol houses and from it I got a proper perspective of the real scale and how to measure a space.

07 Wood workshop wood joineries+ chair Selecting a joinery and making it from wood was a hands on work in which we learnt to use the tools and working with wood. Later in a group of two we had to select a chair and make a 1:1 prototype of it.
23
The chair in the left is a refernce image of the chair which we were going to make. In this workshop we were not supposed to design a chair, instead we had to choose a chair, understand the joinery and make a 1:1 prototype of the same.
24
08 Elevated log huts I worked as a junior designer voluntarily on a project designing on elevated log huts in Ratan mahal which is located near the borders of Madhya Pradesh. The structure was made of MS and on the structure wood panelling and cladding was done. All the wood which was used was recycled wood brought from Alang. This was an eco friendly design.
25
08 Khoj museum The project was on designing an interactive science museum for kids as well as elders where they can come and experiment things themselves and gain knowledge. In this museum there are three floors on different topics which are a. Soap bubbles b. Moving images c. Astrononmy I worked on the soap bubble floor where I had to give some ideas for activities and then design systems according to the activities. Space planning was also one thing I had to keep in mind.
26
08 WC blocks This was a start up of precast concrete WC blocks for rural and peri urban areas in which I worked as a designer on this startup and this was incubated by Innovation and Incubation centre-PDPU, Ahmedabad.

The graphics which are above and on the extreme right are works done for myself. It is inspired by hieroglyphics, mughal coins, japanese caligraphy, and so on. Every element has a meaning. The poster on the right was a history project where we designed a new toothpaste+ brush called paste-brush. The poster was made for that purpose. The logos below are the initials of my name and it was made for my card.
