Case Studies of Interns World View Project:

HELLO! My name is Ema Karamata and I am from Serbia. I am an intern in Bhavans Prominent School located in Indore, working at the project named World View. World View was a 6 week project in Bhawan’s Prominent School. The interns had sessions with students of all ages about environment, health, global warming and leadership. Our goal was to work as a team, make our own presentations and activities for children and present it to them. We had a lot of freedom to create these sessions, so it was a really interesting experience. Also, this internship was a great opportunity for me to meet some new and interesting people from all around the world. Time that I spent here in India was amazing and I’m really sorry that this internship is going to end soon and that I’m going back to my country. I really enjoyed Indore city and all places near which I visited. This internship gave me the opportunity to feel real Indian lifestyle and culture. I met lots of Indian people and all of them were nice and friendly. They helped me a lot to adjust here, since India is absolutely different then my country. I am so glad that I applied for this internship because I got opportunity to practice different types of my skills (presentation, leadership, etc.), to meet a lot of great people, to work with different organizations, to meet other cultures and to make friends from all over the world! To live in India and to see India but not touristic was very valuable experience for me. All this helped me to improve myself in so many ways so thank you AIESEC Indore on everything that you have done for me! Sincerely yours, Ema Karamata.

Hello!!! I am Tomislav Acimovic from Serbia, an Exchange participant in AIESEC Indore’s Project World View in August 2010. Project World View goal was to develop the cultural, social and general aspect of the students of Bhawan’s Prominent School. The interns were teaching students about various environmental issues, health issues, global warming and leadership. We had a great opportunity to implement our own ideas, meet lots of interesting people and work together with people from 15 different countries. All of that made this internship a great and unforgettable experience. I really enjoyed India and now I’m sad since I’m leaving in a few days. At first everything was strange and confusing: crazy drivers, people yelling everywhere, taking pictures of us all the time… But after some time, I got used to it, and realized that they are all good, kind and respectful people. I tried to travel whenever I could and saw a lot of beautiful temples, villages, nature and places. On those journeys I also met some really interesting people. This internship gave me the opportunity to improve my leadership and presentation skills, to work with good and intelligent children, to meet lots of people from all over the world and actually to become friends with them… Also I got opportunity to travel, see real India, work with Indians, visit a lot of nice places, feel Indian way of living and experience their culture. I got the opportunity to see India, incredible as it is, and for that thank you AIESEC Indore and Bhawan’s Prominent School.

Sincerely, Tomislav Acimovic
