Source of all that was and is, before, beyond creation’s time. The central core expressed through being, each speck of life reflects its will. And when the world’s delights are gone, alone it rules in mystic awe. It was, it is always will be within the depths of all beauty. One alone, there is none else to match our God, to share all space. Without beginning without end all force and power spring from it. This is my life, my victory, bedrock of faith in time of pain. My banner high my refuge sure, my inner wine I call in prayer. So in its hand I set my soul, both when I sleep and when I wake, and with my soul, my body too, God is in me I will not fear. 2|

Godly children! Offer up to YaH,

assign to YaH grandeur and might

Render to YaH the honor due to His character;

in devout reverence bow down before Him.

YaH’s thunder rolls over the sea, storming over the vast expanse of water;

YaH’s sound is forceful,

YaH’s sound is majestic.

YaH’s thunder shatters cedars, the very mighty Cedars of Lebanon. They leap about like calves; Lebanon and Siryon cavort as if they were young lambs. YaH’s thunder splits firebrands; YaH’s crash makes the deserts tremble, the very desert of Kadesh. YaH’s din makes the gazelles give birth, protects the forests— while in His Palace all adore and honor Him. YaH turns back the deluge and presides over all creation. This same YaH empowers His people. This same YaH blesses His people with Peace. 4|

Ava calls up her brother Oren to join her for Shema.

Listen you Yisrael person, ‫ ָי ְי‬, who Is, is our God. ‫ ָי ְי‬who Is, is One, Unique, All there Is. Through Time and Space Your Glory Shines Majestic One!

Love ‫ ָי ְי‬who is your God, in what your heart is in, in what you aspire to, in what you have made your own.

May these values which I connect with your life be implanted in your feelings.

May they become the norm for your children, addressing them in the privacy of your home, on the errands your run.

May they help you relax, and activate you to be productive. Display them visibly on your arm. Let them focus your attention.

See them at all transitions, at home and in your environment.

Thank you all for being here to share in our simcha as Ava becomes a bat mitzvah. Ava was our first child and the first grandchild born on both sides of the family. From the moment she was born, Ava has brought joy to those around her with her sparkle and endless energy. Ava, we are so proud of the effort and hard work that you put into everything you do. You are nothing short of a professional big sister, a kind and loyal friend, and just a pleasure to be around (almost all of the time). We know that your sense of humor and infectious laugh will serve you well in life. You entertain us daily as you sing and dance your way through life. May you continue to bring joy to those around you, especially those in need. Mazel tov and we love you, Mom and Dad

Dear Friends & Family, Thank you for being here to share in my bat mitzvah. I feel lucky to be surrounded by my family and friends for this special day. I also want to thank Rabbi Arik and Sara Wolf and the teachers at Chabad of Bedford Hills for making learning Hebrew and preparing for this day so much fun. For my mitzvah project, I traveled to Israel last May and had the chance to connect personally with six girls my age, who live in a town bordering Gaza that is under threat of terror attack. I met these girls and their families in their homes and invited them to join me for a b’not mitzvah service at the Western wall in Jerusalem. It was an amazing experience to share a service with these girls, who live just a short drive from Jerusalem but most of whom had never been to Jerusalem before that day. While in S’derot, just four months ago, I climbed to the highest point and was able to see cars driving along the roads in Gaza City, just across a small valley. At that time there hadn’t been a missile attack in almost two months. Since my visit the town of S’derot has been hit by thousands of missiles. My new friends need help now more than ever. This Rosh Hashanah please join me in thinking of them and praying for their safety, so they can play outside again and be able to sleep in their own beds instead of in a bomb shelter. Love, Ava

A special thank you to Shir Yaakov Feit. This day would not have been the same without you. —The Wildsteins

We honor the memory of Ava’s great-grandparents without whom today would not be possible: Doris and Edward Grossman Esther and Harry Hornig Ethel and Danny LaVista Adele and Lou Wildstein
