National Clean Up Day is held annually on the last Tuesday of the month Adar, (Article 21 of "Cleanliness Maintenance" Law ,named "National Clean Up Day"). This peak-day event day's activities are held during "The Week of Love for water and the environment" and are expressed in a variety of environmental educational activities around the country. Schools are encouraged to hold a specific educational program with an emphasis on the environment, and on "National Clean Up Day" students, soldiers and citizens are called and encouraged to participate in public areas clean-up activities throughout the country. In addition, there are ceremonies, events, and a host of educational activities which appeal to a variety of audiences: decision makers, municipal leaders, students, families and the general public – all intent to raise public awareness to conservation issues and the environment.

In Cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, we distributed gloves, bags and more , to the pre-registered groups and coordinators in dozens of locations across the country in preparation for nationwide campaign.

Variety of beautiful and varied activities have been carefully planned and on National Cleanup day thousands of volunteers went on public outdoors cleanup activities in the groves, parks, neighborhoods and beaches. Volunteers from across the country, filled thousands of garbage bags in the variety of heartwarming cleaning operations inspirational from Nahariya to Eilat.

Since 2008 the number of participants in the annual campaign has risen and hundreds of thousands of people have participated to date in cleaning operations throughout the country, initiating environmental educational activities in order to promote the topic within the young and the old

This Year, approximately 70000 people whee registered through our website to participate in events at following locations;

Other regional authorities, such as Kfar Saba, Petachtikva and more have also organized clean-up operations within their jurisdictional areas, all joining the nationwide campaign now firmly established as Israel’s National Clean-Up Day.
