Spinning for Bluefin tuna needs a compromise between a soft tip and brute force. Tuna often feed on very small prey (anchovies from 4 to 10cm in length) and do not attack large lures. You will often need to cast a lure less than 40g a long way, and then have enough power to fight one of the strongest fish in the ocean. The Pelagic Offshore rod has been designed specifically to solve this difficult equation, a soft tip to cast a long way and a strong butt to fish with 10kg of drag. This rod is also great for light Tropical fishing with a line rating up to 65lbs.

The rod can easily cast a surface popper or a metal jig rigged with a MitrailletteŽ. The Aluminium reel seat and gimbal will allow you to put some serious pressure on your hooked fish using the full action of the HPC300 carbon blank. For improved casting performance this model features Shimano’s Steady Cast technology and Fuji Alconite guides.
