Andy Murray
Andy Murray was born to fish. His grandfather was a ghillie, and he can remember casting a fly rod long before going to school. For twenty five years he travelled the world demonstrating his remarkable casting techniques and fishing skills. Passionate about fly fishing, he guides parties at his casting school on the River Tweed for those in search of salmon and trout. He has given talks to the New York Fly Fishing Club, is a proud honorary member of the famous Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club of San Francisco, has appeared on various BBC, Canadian and American television programmes and in 2003 received the Arthur Oglesby Lifetime Achievement Award for services to the sport of fly fishing. Andy is a certified FFF (Federation of Fly Fishers) casting instructor with both single and double handed rods.
Stener Skogmo
Stener has been working as a Salmon fishing guide for the last 15 years on some of the best Salmon rivers in Norway. He is a certified FFF (Federation of Fly Fishers) instructor for single-handed and two-handed rods. Stener also takes part in fly casting competitions, and has competed at the highest level since 1995. He has been Norwegian champion both in single-handed and two-handed rods and, as a member of the Norwegian national team in 2006, made it to the final of Spey-orama in San Francisco. Stener has also gained experience in the development of both fly rods and fly lines over recent years.
Raffaele Mascaro
G.Loomis Europe Brand Manager Raffaele is 43 years old. A member of the Federation of Fly Fishers Casting Board of Governors, the FFF International Committee and Two handed Committee. He is a Master Casting Instructor and two-handed Casting Instructor. A fly-fisherman since 1991, he likes fly-fishing for many species from trout to tarpon. He has fishing experience all over Europe, Cuba, Maldives, Australia, Japan, British Columbia , USA and Russia. Raffaele has demonstrated at several fly-fishing shows in Italy, UK, Holland, Belgium ,Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia and at the Spey-o-rama in San Francisco. He is a regular guest of SKY TV and writes for the Italian fly-fishing magazine “Sedge & Mayfly”.
Mauro Mazzo
Mauro has been fishing since 1979 and is an FFF certified Master, Two Handed Casting Instructor and G.Loomis Academy Instructor. He has considerable experience in fishing for Atlantic Salmon and has fished the Kola Peninsula rivers extensively, along with Norway, Sweden, America, Argentina, India, Cuba and Costa Rica.
Jonas Nordigårds
Jonas is 35 years old and loves all types of fishing with various techniques. He has been a Fly fishing guide and Instructor for over 15 years and he is the founder of the largest Fly fishing website in Scandinavia, www.edgeflyfishing.com. He is also a photographer and he writes for a number of magazines. 4
Teemu Makela
Teemu has been pioneering ‘Pike on the fly’ in Finland for the past two decades and has played a major role in developing specialist flies that have helped catch numerous specimen fish. He has also written many articles on fly fishing and fly casting and co-authored a book on modern pike fishing. Teemu has a widespread interest in fishing, from traditional fly fishing for trout and grayling to saltwater fly fishing.He has a comprehensive knowledge of tackle and techniques.
Henrik Haupt
Henrik has been fly-fishing since childhood. He is a FFF (Federation of fly Fishers) certified Master instructor, an EFFA (European Fly Fishing Association) instructor and a G.Loomis Academy instructor. He is the chairman of CFCC (Copenhagen Fly Casting Club), and he is the Danish Fly-casting Champion of 2008. Henrik is interested in all styles of fly-fishing, but has a passion for Trout which he fished for in Scandinavia, Slovenia, Montana and Russia.
Kåre Wåbenø
Kåre has been involved with the G. Loomis brand in Norway for the last 5 years and has an extensive knowledge about the products. He is a well experienced casting instructor and lecturer, and is very focused on the functionality and simplification of both practical fly fishing and instruction. His skills and knowledge on different fly casting and fishing techniques, as well as in fly tying, are well known among most fly fishermen in Norway. Kåre has been active in competition casting for the last 8 years, and has achieved several Norwegian Championship titles during the last years in both 1- and 2-hand categories. The last title he won was the Norwegian Championship 2008, 1-hand rod.
