Our History At Sea Bright Solar, we help consumers save money and the planet through the renewable energy source of the sun. Operating since 2003, Sea Bright Solar was first founded by president, Brian Kelly, who holds a master’s degree in environmental science, and is a certified member of the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). Sea Bright Solar serves the entire New Jersey and New York area, and has helped countless home and business owners defeat their high energy bills through the installation of a renewable solar energy system. Our staff consists of professional sales, management, and solar installation teams. We offer exceptional solar design and installation services to both commercial and residential customers. State Incentives (NYSERDA/SREC): NY State Incentives include the NYSERDA rebate which is an up-front rebate paid by the state to go solar, 25% State Tax Credit up to $5,000 (residential only) and a property tax abatement for customers in the 5 boroughs. NJ State Incentive is a production incentive called the SREC (Solar Renewable Energy Credit), and customers receive 1 credit for every 1,000Wh produced by the system. The SREC program is for the first 15 years after the system is installed and the credits are sold on exchanges for the current market rate.
Federal Tax Credits: Homeowners can receive a 30% federal tax credit. Businesses are also eligible for depreciation benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions How much does it cost? The cost of your system is dependent on factors such as your annual energy usage, size of your home, available installation space, sun exposure, and efficiency of the solar panels you choose.
How do I know what size system I need? Our design consultant will conduct a free energy analysis of your home and help you design an optimal system to offset the amount of energy usage you are interested in saving.
How much will I save? Your proposal/estimate states the annual projected savings. Once your system is operational, your inverter will display the daily and lifetime production of your solar array. An optional free monitoring system can also be installed to deliver the information to you online.
Does my monthly electrical bill change? Yes. Your monthly bill will still include applicable taxes and fees. Any monthly usage not covered by your new solar energy system will be located on a separate page, and can be paid either monthly or annually.
Does my renewable solar energy system require maintenance or cleaning? Since solar systems have very few moving parts, they require almost no maintenance. General cleaning—like rinsing the panels with a hose—is recommended once every six months to insure efficiency.
If my power goes out, will my system continue to produce electricity? No. Your solar is connected to the grid so when the power to the grid goes down, your system will shut down to prevent any utility lineman from getting shocked when they fix the power outage.
How do I take advantage of available government incentives and rebates? We assist you with the entire paperwork and application process for your available rebates, incentives, and interconnection agreements.
When can I turn on my renewable solar energy system? Interconnection of your system must be approved by your local utility provider. We do all we can to help expedite this process for you, but the final timeline is set by their level of current demand.
