Joining the Cause Fall is an exciting time at the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA! It’s the time of year that makes me think of transformations. And when it comes to transformations, surely you’ve noticed the exciting changes taking place at our Y. Thanks to your generous support of our Annual Campaign & fundraisers throughout the year, we’ve been able to make significant facility upgrades, including our new HVAC system; new fitness equipment & program offerings; a new steam room in the men’s locker room & a new parking lot (more spaces & no more potholes!). But aside from these renovations (& more are coming), we witness other transformations at the Y every day. I’m reminded that transformation also means hearing a child’s laughter on the basketball court because we were there to cover the cost of his program when his family lost their house to a fire; talking with a man who made healthy lifestyle changes after suffering a heart attack – he’s lost 55 pounds after joining the Y; & watching seniors come out to meet their peers & participate in a program designed just for them.

It’s these types of transformations that make the Y THE Y. At the Y, we’re so much more than just a gym. We’re a cause for strengthening our community. This fall, I hope you will join our cause as a member, program participant or volunteer. We currently have open spots on our Board of Directors. Please contact Mike Kramp, CEO, if you are interested. In good health, Jeremy Kinsey, President & Chief Volunteer Officer – YMCA Board of Directors

Personal Training Let the Y’s team of personal trainers use their specialized training & expertise to create a program designed to help you meet your fitness goals. Workouts may include cardio &/or strength exercises & use of equipment like BOSUs, fitballs, kettlebells, TRX & more. It’s your workout… you decided! 60minute workouts – you coordinate your workout days/times with our trainers.

1-on-1 TRAINING: Personal training is not just for injury recovery, though we can certainly help with that. Our certified trainers will work with you to design a specialized workout to help you achieve your goals.

PARTNER TRAINING: Get fit with a friend! One of the best ways to stick to a program is to have someone hold you accountable & provide encouragement. Grab a buddy & we’ll add the expert to design workouts to meet both of your needs.

Add TRX to Your Training Package, or Join an Existing Group All ages & fitness levels can benefit from TRX Suspension Training. It’s great for athletic conditioning! TRX leverages one’s own body weight & gravity to activate your core like never before, & develops strength, balance & flexibility. The Y offers FREE TRX trial sessions throughout the year. 5week session = Member $60 Non-member: $150

PRIVATE GROUP TRAINING: Working out with a small group of 3-4 friends has numerous benefits! It’s fun, it’s affordable & each person gets personalized attention. Whether you’re interested in general conditioning, building strength, reducing fat or improving athletic performance, our Y trainers will create a customized program for all of you.
