About Me Hi, I am Sherezade Casado. I´m a workplace design specialist, passionate about translating brand identity, experience and personality across interior design, furniture and content of office environments.

ARB-qualified architect, I thrive under pressure and am never afraid of a challenge. I like learning about new ideas and new approaches. I am an extremely versatile designer who enjoys the challenge of bringing together project briefs, tailoring my approach to the client´s personal style, logistics, budget and working with the poetry of space in a manner that communicates my passion for the built environment.

My focus is on the inner quality of interior spaces, especially in regards to sensations and their influence on the individual person. I believe that solving spatial problems can be achieved through careful context research and considerate design with attention to the end user.

I always ask myself the same question: What is the experience and how do you capture it? The experience of walking through a space and interacting with it — that’s a story being told. During the first client brief and concept design stages, whether in the design of a home or an office, I always start by looking for that unique story.

Spring Place is a collaborative workspace and a club where inspiring minds in fashion, art, business and entertainment come to work, host, and create.

A singular level of service, design and resources throughout - shared and private workspaces, conference rooms and dining rooms; meets a social club where members can relax and entertain with colleagues in their lounges, restaurant and outdoor spaces.

The 300,000 sq ft commercial office project has been particularly impressive,detailed space planning and consultation with the client’s user groups as well as co-ordination with numerous consultants.

London Wall Place is a new destination, offering an acre of landscaped public realm set between two statement office buildings totalling 500,000 Sq Ft. Our client, Schroders have committed to lease 1LWP (300,000 Sq Ft) as their new global headquarters. We worked closely with TP Bennett to develope final space planning. ( agile and breakout spaces) Our main task was the co-ordination with the numerous consultants, vendors and contractors on the professional team to achieve astonishing interiors.

One London Wall Place provided Schroders with 310,000 sq ft of high spec, flexible space across 12 storeys, including accessible outdoor terraces providing striking views towards St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The new offices for Havas UK at London’s Pancras Square House has won the regional British Council for Offices (BCO) “Best Fit Out of Workplace” Award in the annual BCO Awards program.

DESCRI PTI O N

With over 24 brands and 1700 staff spread across 15 London sites, the overall brief was to bring a disparate organisation from various sites together into a new 160,000 sq ft (15,000 sq m) headquarters building, situated at the heart of the Kings Cross development, whilst still retaining brand identity. MCM developed a workplace strategy to inspire creativity within the workforce & unleash the full potential of its people. The concept of the ‘Vertical Village’ was formed through extensive consultation.

My inspiration erases from little details, from that pattern I discovered when travelling to Marrakesh, from that colourful painting I´ll never forget.

BEAUTIFUL OBJECTS I am inspired every day. It can be something as simple as the orange shade of a sunset, which I recently used as an accent colour for the model suite of a new development on Canary Wharf. Beautiful objects are an endless supply of inspiration; an antique urn in a classic shape can provide the fuel for an entire house.

02 REFER ENCES I often draw on historical references and reinterpret them with today’s materials in a timeless, elegant way. I like to look at my favourite designers as Arne Jacobsen or Charles and Ray Eames, and get lost in their astonishing work. When I am in need of more inspiration...

03 NEW PLACES Because I’m a visual person, images often give me the map to my final design. I like to break the interiors down, identifying how the room is pulled together. I would never copy a look, but I like to decode the designer’s process.

...I pack my bag and hit the road.

There is nothing like the smell of new colors and scents, to learn customs and local designs. Whether I take a day trip, a weekend, or go on a weeklong exotic vacation, a change of scenery can go a long way toward getting my creative juices flowing again.
