Globalization together with technological advancement has brought immense economic opportunities for businesses and organizations worldwide. But, we are living in a critical time, where global supply of natural resources and eco-system services are declining dramatically, this major shift has compelled not only to get involved in major activities related to sustainability and social development, but also to integrate sustainability and as part of core strategies. Sustainability means making every decision with the future in mind. Being sustainable is more than just adopting sustainable practices. Sustainability is a difficult subject to pin down since it encompasses so many different things. The concept of sustainability combines the environmental, social, financial, ethical, legal and political issues.

Due to the complexity of this subject, it's important to look at the importance of sustainable development in a holistic way that approaches the issue rationally. Sustainable practices respect, support and regenerate environmental systems, the economy and society over many generations. Sustainability should ensure long-term success and access to essential resources for businesses and our communities around the world for generations to come.

PAPERS/CHAPTERS INVITED Chapters /papers are invited for an edited book which discusses various aspects of sustainability. The book is being published as a part of series of issues and concerns of sustainability .

Some of the themes which would be covered in the edited book are mentioned below (List is not exhausted). As Prospective authors, you could choose one of the topics as mentioned below for writing a chapter.

1. Woman rights and workplace environment 2. Waste Management 3. Corporate Graft and Whistle-blowers 4. Human Rights and Business Sustainability 5. Low-Carbon Energy and Sustainable Industry 6. Challenges of Social Inclusion: Gender, Inequalities, and Human Rights 7. CSR Issues relating to Multinational Enterprises 8. Sustainability Reporting Standards 9. Socially responsible products 10. Redefining the Role of Business for Sustainable Development 11. Institutional Framework for Sustainable Development The fundamental idea of the book would be to take sustainability beyond the territories of external factors the matter to an organization. The effort is to look at and analyze the various elements of sustainability. The chapters would look at issues involved in designing such businesses and assess the impediments and opportunities around the same. There would be some case studies which would demonstrate how sustainability is achieved. This book would be a key resource for policy developers as well as practitioners.

Guidelines for Authors  The papers /chapters should be for a global audience.  The p a p e r s should be well referenced and must have a global approach.  They must be a good blend of theory and application.  The diagrams and figures should be adapted versions and should not be taken in original forms from sources.  If the tables or figures are brought in original ‐form then they must be accompanied with copyright permission.  The paper / chapter should be between 10000 15000 words (approx. 30 pages) with 12 font size (Times New Roman). 

The paper should be double line spaced and must have recent references in Harvard Referencing format both within and end of text.

About the Publisher of the Book The b o o k would be published by Bharti Publications.

There will be copyright form which the authors have to fill up.

Publication Fees For single authored papers- Rs.2000 per manuscript.

For multi authored papers- Rs. 2500 per manuscript.

Editor’s Biography

Dr Archana Bhatia is a tenured Associate Professor, Head and Dean (Since 2006), Department of Commerce, DAV Centenary College, Faridabad has been a part of the teaching fraternity since 1988. She has experience in education for Management, Statistics, Marketing, Income Tax, Tourism, and Women Issues both as a lecturer and as a researcher.

She has been the recipient of the prestigious MAHILA RATAN Award by Vishwa Mahila Parisar 2013, Best Teacher Award by Lions Club 2012, Best citizen of India Award 2010 from International Publishing House, New Delhi and awarded by Faridabad Administration for “Outstanding Contribution in Education and women empowerment” 2009. She has published research papers in various journals of national and international repute and is a frequently invited speaker at various conferences and seminars. She has constantly channelized her efforts to enhance the students’ potentialities to greater heights by providing academic, cultural, intellectual resources as well as a dynamic environment for the overall development of their personalities, aspirations and talents.

Dr Namita Rajput, is Associate Professor of Department of Commerce, University of Delhi.

A highly qualified individual with 22 years of rich expertise in Teaching, Lecturing and Research & Development with specialization in Finance, International business, Marketing and other subjects in commerce. Proficiency in handling graduate, post graduate students and

Research scholars by using interactive discussions and “hands-on” approaches to help them learn and apply concepts in subjects. Distinction of planning, executing and monitoring various research projects. Been a part of various seminars, paper presentations, business reviews & have authored several books and papers in national and international journals.

Displayed vast success in continuously acquiring new knowledge and applying innovative pedagogies and have always aimed to be an effective educator and have a global outlook which is the need of today.

Ms Kanika Mehandiratta, a committed lecturer with over 7 years of experience at leading academic institution of DAV Centenary College teaching students from various social and cultural backgrounds,. She possesses excellent administrative, verbal communication and written skills along with constructive and effective teaching methods that promote a stimulating learning environment.

Miss Shelly Oberoi, is Assistant Professor of Department of Commerce, University of Delhi.

Been a part of various seminars, paper presentations and have authored several papers in national and international journals. Displayed vast Knowledge of Subject Matter, Effective Discipline Skills, Effective teaching methods and Good Classroom Management Skills.
