Autumn Autumn is a special time in Shell Knob. As the season changes, the pace slows and relaxation seems to come naturally. But there is still so much to do and experience. Fishing is still great on Table Rock as seen every year at the annual Homer Sloan Buddy Bass Tournament held the first Saturday in October. Deer hunters come to seek the large numbers of deer in our National Forest.

Craft fairs throughout the area offer traditional Ozark wares along with glimpses of the rich culture steeped in these mountains. Shell Knob hosts its own Shakin’ in the Shell Festival and Car Show the second Saturday in September.

Fall is a wonderful time to escape and appreciate the natural beauty of this area as the leaves turn and transform the hills into a colorful palette. Winding roads and hiking trails crisscross the area with surprising vistas around every corner. Take advantage of our slower pace to unwind and recharge.
