Directive : Design a 4,850 SF custom home for a Los Angeles, CA couple and their 3-year old daughter, from concept to reality, for their summer home in the Hamptons. Clients desired more of a collected, Englishinspired look and feel to the coastal look, so we combined vintage and new furniture pieces with antique and contemporary artworks.

LOFT APARTMENT
NYSID RESIDENTIAL DESIGN CLASS
Directive : Design a one-bedroom apartment within the confines of a 1,200 SF NYC building. Define the client, their aesthetic, and directive; create a color story and furniture plan; source fixtures and finishes, lighting, furniture, art, and textiles for the main spaces.
I created a partition plan to best suit the restrictions of the structure (i.e. minimal windows and immovable columns) and one that would take best advantage of the space, creating an open kitchen/living area but still an intimate space via the application of warm woods, built-ins, and textiles. I did not want the front door to open up right into the living space, so I created a foyer for privacy that then opens up into the kitchen/living area.
Loft Apartment
CONCEPT
Client : A 40-year-old female who wants an oasis to come home to in between extensive traveling and work for a luxury auction house in the city. Originally from Northern California, her favorite place to retreat is Big Sur, CA, which will serve to inspire the color palette of the entire space.
Client has some great midcentury pieces she’d like to incorporate into the mix of vintage and new pieces. The look and feel will be modern, clean, and full of textures to balance ample millwork throughout main space.
