We prepare your child for life, not just for Kindergarten.

Fun is incorporated into learning; each activity has a purpose.

Fun-filled trips are planned to get your kids out into the community.

A child's first experience in school is very important to insure they are excited about the learning process. We foster a positive learning environment by working with your child's strengths and weaknesses to develop their unique learning style.

We focus on team building activities which helps develop the social aspect and a willingness to work with others. Academically your child will write their name, count to 100, learn reading readiness skills, and much more.

We encourage interactive parent involvement through weekly newsletters that highlight what we learned so you can continue the learning process at home. We also want parents to come to school during special party days and field trips.

We are taking extra steps to ensure the success of your child! • hands-on learning • Individualized instructions • small classroom sizes • team building activities • interactive play

• positive learning environment • language entertainment • multi sensory math activities • music and movement • science expiration activities

Festival Lights of

Shelbyville Parks & Recreation have two funds at the Blue River Community Foundation to which you can leave a generous gift.

The festival of lights began in 2020 by Caesars Entertainment Indiana Grand Racing and Casino sponsoring it with a match by Knauf and the City of Shelbyville. Sharp Trophies by Mack then put up a challenge, followed with contributions by Edward Jones-David Phares and Ellen Higgins. Anyone can contribute to the Shelbyville Parks Department to make the Festival of Lights grow and glow bigger.

If you wish to give to either of these funds, please contact Jennifer Jones at the Blue River Community Foundation at (317)392-7955 and specifically request these funds.

The festival of lights will be open from December 4 through 24. The hours for the display will be 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

This fund helps the Parks Department build new projects or programs for the community.

Thank you Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino and the City of Shelbyville for the display. If anyone else would like to sponsor a display for 2022, please contact Tiffany Kredit, Special Events Coordinator (317)392-5128.
