Park after an 8-year hiatus. The River Chase had made an 18-year run in Rock Falls. Surprisingly, Hicks isn’t a racer – his passion for the sport developed while growing up in Sterling. “I remember riding my bike over there as a kid to watch the races, and I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to bring it back,” Hicks said. Chairman: Park becoming haven for drug trafficking
DIXON – Lowell Park is becoming a growing haven for drug trafficking, says Ron Pritchard, chairman of the Dixon Park District Board of Commissioners. For that and several other reasons, the board has discussed installing security cameras at the entrance to the park. District director of maintenance Duane Long presented Ron camera quotes Pritchard Dixon Park during the District Board newly sworn chairman board’s first meeting on Wednesday. The technology, which would cost about $2,385, could live stream to a server, store video footage for up to a month, and have enough acuity to record license plates, visitor faces, and other information.
