He worked for Akzo Nobel Chemicals, Inc. as Manager of Safety and Health for the Americas from 1988 up to his retirement in 2009. Steve and Terry loved travel adventures, especially to Alaska, capturing their memories with beautiful photographs and discovering new foods and wines. Steve truly lived his life to the fullest, never letting multiple myeloma stop him from the things he loved. Dean Zelasco, 55, of Crystal Lake passed away Sept. 13, 2015, at the University of Chicago with his family at his side. He was born April 18, 1960, in Oak Park to John and Rosemary (Johnson) Zelasco. On August 31, 1996, he married Audrey Johnson. Dean worked as an electrician for many different companies. He enjoyed golfing with friends, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was very active with his kids’ sports. He helped in coaching the Raiders and the Wizards. He attended every one of his sons’ wrestling meets, football games, and baseball games, and he went to his daughters’ cheerleading competitions. He also loved the Chicago Blackhawks. Dean was also a member of the Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; his children, Jordan, Dean Jr., Michael, Autumn, Gianna; his siblings, John (Mary) Zelasco, Theresa (Bill Mundo) Zelasco, Mark (Heather) Zelasco, Ron Zelasco, Joseph Zelasco, and Mary (Brian) Trinco; and many nieces and nephews.
