Doomis brothers gain national attention in Barrington Hills Jerry Kuyper BARRINGTON HILLS – If 2013 repeats itself in 2014, then the Doomis brothers again will be on an Internet facet of television’s Home Channel. “They approached us in 2013 and wanted to do a story on us. I do not know how they heard of us, but they did,” Mike, one of the two brothers, said. Doomis Custom Builders, based in Carpentersville, has been in business 26 years, concentrating on custom work in the Barrington area as well
as other northwest Chicago suburbs. A custom house by the brothers in unincorporated McHenry County is on the drawing boards for this year. Another project in Itasca also is planned for 2014. Mike and his brother, Tom, spearhead the company. As in 2013, a custom building project of the brothers would be be the star of any show. They completed the house project in 2013, and will do something similar this year. “But you don’t have to wait. You can see us today in the Home Channel video shot in 2013. There is interest in featuring us in another segment on a future project, but nothing is
