hether you’re a thrillseeker who loves a good fright at haunted houses or you’re looking for a mild but fun family event, there’s a wide variety of ways to celebrate Halloween. Here are seven fun Halloween events taking place in northern Illinois. Don’t forget to check online closer to the event dates for the latest health and safety guidelines.

Soak up beautiful fall colors during Pumpkin Fest, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Halloween. Enjoy over 35 activities including navigating the corn maze, visiting with farm animals and
playing games such as giant Connect Four and cornhole. Admission is $19.95 when purchased online and $31.95 weekends and Columbus Day for an all-inclusive pass. Kids 2 and under are free.

The event, which is from 1 to 3 p.m., also features a balloon artist, face painting and light refreshments. Tickets, which can be purchased online, cost $45 for children ages 2-11 and $30 for ages 12 and over.
