Blanket of Snow
Storm drops an inch of snow on Newton By Kayla Langmaid Newton Daily News Continuous flurries on Wednesday evening and overnight made for a sloppy and somwhat slippery commute for Jasper County residents Thursday morning. Though there wasn’t enough snow or ice for school cancellations or serious accidents to report as of Thursday morning, there was just enough snow for residents to have to venture out to shovel their driveways and scrape off their vehicles. According to the National Weather Service, Jasper County will see scattered flurries throughout Thursday and a high of 30 degrees. Roads and sidewalks will remain slick in some spots and there is a chance for blowing snow. Tonight, temperatures are expected to drop to the mid-20s.

Officers identified the vehicle as the possible vehicle used by Dommer and Jeffrey. The vehicle was no longer in working order and abandoned by the couple in the road.
