Sycamore Middle School has named its students of the month for December. The sixth-grade students are Emma Simmons, Kane Craig, Emma Meier and Seth Diaz. Fox Valley Community Services recently received a donation from Chapter FO of the Philanthropic Educational Organization. This international organization is comprised of women celebrating the advancement of women. This donation will support local seniors in life-enriching programs. The Genoa Lions Club donated $500 to the Genoa Public Library to replace the drinking fountain that was donated by the Lions more than 15 years ago. The new fountain was installed by Purrfect Plumbing of Genoa and is in the same location as the original. An oversized check was presented by Lion Treasurer Todd Merritt to Head Librarian Jen Barton on Jan. 20 at the library.
