John Gaw, an attorney with Reimer, Dobrovolny & LaBardi, presented on internal investigations. As a former Lisle police officer he is well-versed in public safety law. He pointed out that an internal investigation follows any officer involved shooting, after the criminal investigation by the state’s attorney’s office or a major crimes task force. “MAP has really helped get this information out to officers,” Gaw said "That's one of the nice things about MAP... you can share with other attorneys and work together as a team to find the best solution. The MAP board members help out as well."
