T

he Herrington Inn and Spa hailed its silver anniversary in 2018, and in spring 2023 will commemorate 30 years as a destination along the Fox River in Geneva.

While the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has proven a unique challenge to staff and visitors in recent years, the ambience at the 60-room Inn remains a constant for guests from all corners of the suburbs, state and country. “The Inn is warm, cozy and intimate,” says Lisa Landers, director of sales and marketing at The Herrington, 15 S. River Lane, Geneva. “The warm

hues, stone floors and dim lighting are all calming and inviting. Our staff is very friendly and will always look for ways to make our guests feel welcomed and at home at the Inn.” While the Inn traces its ties to the City of Brotherly Love — the site originally served as the home of James and Charity Herrington, who settled in Geneva from Philadelphia in 1835 — romance also plays an important role in the property’s present and future. Guests enjoy such amenities as heated floors, turndown service and homemade cookies and milk
