PEGGY A. HORSCHLER Peggy A. Horschler (Minnick), age 96, passed away at home Rockaway Beach, MO, on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Plainfield, and was a Joliet resident. Peggy was a member St. Peter Lutheran Church. Enjoyed crocheting, traveling and more. Peggy’s greatest joy was spending time with her Lord and family. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie and Franklin Minnick; husband, Milton; son, William Duffus; sister/husband, Flo and Ozzie; brothers/wives, John and Helen, George and Lucille, Arthur and Naomi, Carl and Lois, Calvin, Glen and Rosemary; uncle William; brothers-in-law, Ernest and John; and numerous nieces and nephews. WILLIE JORDAN SR. Born: Sept. 14, 1926 Died: Sept. 15, 2016

Willie Jordan Sr., age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 15, 2016. He was born in Pachuta, Mississippi, to Wade and Lethia Jordan on Sept. 14, 1926. Willie is preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Jordan; three sisters; and three brothers. He is survived by his sons, Joe and Willie Jordan; sisters, Mary L. Jones of Joliet and Maurine Epting of Chicago and Mattie G. Williams of Birmingham, Alabama; and one brother, Wade Jordan Jr. of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday Sept. 26, 2016, at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1502 Mills Road, Joliet, IL 60433. Visitation 10 to 11 a.m. Interment with military honors, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, leaving from Range Funeral Home, 202 South Eastern Ave., Joliet, IL 69433 promptly at 9 a.m. to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Preceded in death by her husband, George Liker Sr.; son, George Liker Jr.; father, Benjamin Louch; birth mother, Hazel Wietting; mother, Elizabeth (Roy) Morrow; four sisters, Roma (Stephen) Kimak, Elizabeth (Charles) Gergacz, Charlotte (John) Ligos and Mary Lou (Buzz) Welter; and four brothers, Jack McCormick, Joseph (Elizabeth) Louch, Robert (Judy) Louch and George (Mari Jo) Grant. Shirley was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet. She was a member of the Croatian Cultural Club, Senior Citizens Association and Cantigny Post VFW Auxiliary 367. She was the best potica and strudel maker. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. Her friends knew her as “Sunshine.” She loved to make others laugh and smile. Her smile will be greatly missed. Donations in Shirley’s name, to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Joliet Area Community Hospice for the excellent care provided. Nancy A. McGee (nee Kempke), age 79, late of Three Rivers, MI. Passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. Born in Monroe, MI, on April 4, 1937. Preceded in death by her parents, William F. and Bertha Schwank; her daughter, Wendyann McGee; and her brothers, Fred and Carl Kempke. Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Donald “Butch” McGee; her son, Charles Schott; her grandchildren, Eyyse Catlin Schott and Weston Charles Schott; her special companion, “Mr. Taffy”; dear friends, Margie, Linda and Iris; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Vicki Livings (nee Brown), age 71, a resident of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016. Beloved wife of 54 years to Rick Livings; devoted mother of Amy Livings-Thacker; and cherished grandmother of Molly and Griffin Thacker. Charles T. Holloway, age 70, of Gardner, formerly of Braidwood, passed away Sept. 22, 2016, at his home. Born May 3, 1946. Chuck retired from Stateville Correctional Center following 35 years of employment. He served as zoning commissioner for the city of Braidwood for 8 years. In his early years, he played trumpet for the Buckinghams and the California Marching Band. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Debbie (nee Rogers) Holloway; two sons, Roger (Kim) Holloway of Gardner and Josh (Dawn) Holloway of Braidwood; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Angi, Robby, Alli, Blake, Kati, Ashley and Rylee; and one great-granddaughter, Madalyn. Preceding him in death were two brothers, John Holloway and Jim Holloway. Visitation will be at the R.W.
