e are very proud to call DeKalb our home. Our area is rich in innovation, history, and members from all over who invest in the DeKalb business community. DeKalb was established in 1856 and has had a hand in affecting the world from agricultural ingenuity like hybrid corn development and barbed wire, to graduates from Northern Illinois University who have created an impact locally and nationally. These are some of the long-standing members in our community. We would like to thank them and all longstanding businesses and organizations who have invested their time, money, and lives here. We are stronger together, and because of that we have stood the test of time through highs and lows. We all benefit when we stick together and support local.
