Libraries are a window to the world — they are able to transport you to diferent places just by reading. And best of all, library cards are free, and even kids can sign up. So what are you waiting for? Get to your local library, and start reading! Find a book: Most people go to libraries to find books, but the options can sometimes be overwhelming. You can ask a librarian for help and recommendations on a good book to

York Public Library’s website just for kids at kids.nypl.org. At this site, you can browse some of the best books for kids, check out some of the best websites for learning and even play some games. If you find a book you like on this website, print it out or write it down, and check to see if your local library has it. Have some fun: Most libraries have tons of things going on for kids, both during the day and after school. Some activities you might find at your library are homework help, book clubs, story time, play time and even arts and crafts! Visit your local library to find the activities schedule for kids.

Connect lines to make the rest of the body. Use your imagination and draw a background for the pterodactyl. Some of your “foundation” lines will be erased, but they’ve helped create a more “solid” foundation to the shapes of your drawing. COLOR IT IN, TOO, IF YOU WISH! All about my book

Name of the book:

After you go to the neighborhood or school library to pick out a new book, it’s time for the fun part — reading. When you’re finished reading your book, write the questions on the right on a piece of paper and fill out the answers to help you remember what it was about. If you liked the book, make sure to recommend it to a friend!

Author: What was your favorite part? Who was your favorite character? How did the book make you feel? Would you recommend to your friends? If so, which friend or friends do you think would really like it? Give the book a ranking on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten means the book was AMAZING; 1 means the book was not so good:
