ou there! Studies and exams got the better of you? Well, say no more, for these guys have got you covered! These vending machines are located at one of the most remote locations on campus and that’s where the fun part comes in- you get to take a break from your studies to go and explore these machines while taking a much- needed break for refuelling and increasing efficiency of your brain cells! Here are a few spots to help you in your search: Located at the lowest point of the Graduate Centre (as a hint, which is super obvious anyways), you will be spoilt for choice as it has a wide array of goodies to choose from! The second one is located at the underground link walkway between college and university The third is located within Sunway College at the A-Levels floor. Do check it out and may the odds be ever in your favor! Geddit? A little Hunger Games reference to aid you in your search! :D

JalaN-jalan Skypark One City, Subang Jaya Jalan-Jalan Japan has two floors which offer a wide range of preloved goods. You can find a variety of things here- from clothes to household items, and even sports equipment and musical instruments. Just like the name suggests, all of the items in Jalan-Jalan Japan are imported from the Japanese nation. The store even has a section for kimonos, which is the traditional wear of Japan. Jalan-Jalan Japan is housed in a shop-

ping mall, making it easy to locate, plus, it has air-conditioning! It makes the experience of thrifting so much more comfortable. There is only one designated entrance/ exit, resulting in better flow and ease of scouting for customers. Everything in the store is organized neatly on display shelves according to category. This aspect alone amplifies the whole shopping experience as you are able to browse for similar items within the same area.

If you’re looking for t-shirts, you’re in the right place! BadenBaden Bundle specialises in t-shirts that offer a wide selection for men, women, and children. When you first enter, you will be attracted by the pieces hung on the wall which will make you want to start digging through right away! The clothes may

ne most anticipated game this year is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which launched on October 25, 2019. That is right, COD Modern Warfare is back with a bang and louder as ever. Gritty, controversial, raw, and looking good with the aesthetics in the graphics department, it is without a doubt one of the games to look forward to this year – especially with source material as strong as the OG Modern Warfare. There’s also cross-play support for multiplayer across all devices, plus, a promising experience for both single-player

and competitive multiplayer fans. Prepare to go dark, Modern Warfare is back! The stakes have never been higher as players take on the role of lethal Tier One operators in heart-racing saga will affect the global balance of power. This game engulfs fans in an incredibly raw, gritty, provocative narrative that brings unrivalled intensity and shines a light on the changing nature of modern war. Developed by the studio that started it all, Infinity Ward delivers an epic reimagining of the Iconic Modern Warfare series from ground up.

seem a little too big, but in reality, it might be just the size of the hangers. Baden- Baden Bundle’s downside is that it may get a little stuffy as it has no air- conditioning. However, it will definitely be worth it at the end of the day when you go home with 7 shirts that only cost RM35!

Wonderful campaign team-oriented spec ops, and variety of multyplayer options that cater to those who love large and small scale warfare –Digital Chumps, 2019

After resting, the next thrift shop on our list is Second Street in SS15.

2nd Street Bundle Shop

A6, Jalan SS 15/8a, Ss 15, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor

15

Second Street will be a whole different experience compared to the previous one on this list. Here, you will feel more relaxed and less overwhelmed as it has air conditioning. The clothes in Second Street arWWwwWe handpicked and they are filtered for the best preloved clothes by the staff, who then organise them neatly in racks. It isn’t just limited to clothing.

Bags, caps, and shoes can be found scattered around the shop. Since the items are chosen carefully by the staff, the prices are not as low as other thrift stores. However, they are certainly still cheaper than the items sold in fast fashion chains. Besides that, with the lower price tags, you are still able to get items from wellknown brands such as Gucci, Uniqlo, and many more.

18 Modo Preloved Fashion is a pretty new thrift shop that has recently opened in Subang Jaya SS15, but just like Second Street, Modo Preloved Fashion has a whole different experience, unlike the typical thrift shop. You’ll be able to find a good amount of branded items at significantly lower price points for brands like Bape, Hype, Adidas, and many others. They have a number of attractive vintage jackets, on top of, clothes, shoes, and caps that may be hard to find elsewhere! There’s something here for everyone as they carry a range of styles, from streetwear to athleisure and casual.

nlikely as it may seem, an independently-made, self-distributed movie has rolled into town, sans film festival pedigree or advance buzz, yet armed with an ad campaign that includes billboards along Sunset Boulevard, television spots, and a glossy, commemorative book on the movie’s making. “The Room” marks the writing-directing-acting debut of Tommy Wiseau, who’s not just one of the most unusual looking but also sounding (with an unidentifiable Eastern European accent) leading man ever to grace the screen. Johnny (Wiseau) is a successful banker who lives happily in a San Francisco townhouse with his fiancée,

25

Lisa. One day, inexplicably, she gets bored with him and decides to seduce Johnny’s best friend, Mark. From there, nothing will be the same again. A bona fide classic of midnight cinema, Wiseau’s masterpiece subverts the rules of filmmaking with a boundless enthusiasm that renders such mundanities as acting, screenwriting, and cinematography utterly irrelevant. Wiseau’s masterpiece of a movie will certainly be remembered in the years to come. It is one of, if not the most unintentionally comedic movie watching experiences I’ve ever seen. Words alone cannot do it justice. You have to experience it to understand.

Although it may be a bad movie , it is so bad it’s absolutely hilarious and therefore must watch. It is simply a beautiful disasterpiece. - VARIETY, 2019

s a perfect example of “so bad it’s good,” this is an inadvertently hilarious trash gem that earned its reputation as the best worst movie ever made, with a terrible script full of plot holes the size of a goblin, ridiculously over-the-top performances and shocking continuity errors that should make you choke with laughter. The writing for film is more than awkward and the character dialogue sounds so incredibly unnatural they might as well be robots. The reason for this is because the man who wrote the script and directed it, Claudio Fragasso, is a native speaker of Italian. He wrote the script in English when English was (barely) his second language. The acting is absolutely terrible, but who can blame them? This was most likely the first (and last) film any of these actors have been in. I think everyone needs to see at least a few horrible movies in their lifetime. The plot is ludicrous, but at least you never know what’s going to happen next.

F

ateful Findings is a new film directed by the up-and-coming and relatively unknown Neil Breen. It is a political thriller of sorts with paranormal and cosmic undertones including, but not limited to mushrooms that turn into magical crystals, spiritual beings and a car accident that turns someone who already had special abilities into some sort of super genius who now has incredible hacking abilities, is a scientist and well-regarded novelist. The editing and the audio is what really makes this movie. Confusing cuts that jumps to the next scene unexpectedly and the awkward moments where you clearly see the actors silently waiting for someone to shout “cut”, to end the scene. I mean, anyone can edit and improve the audio for this movie, but then again, it’s what makes this movie a hidden charm. “Fateful Findings” is a masterpiece. It’s spiritual, engaging, emotional, and just a true poem of storytelling. If you haven’t seen this yet, please do, you won’t be disappointed.
