MID-YEAR UPDATE: Finally, some good news!
I
t’s been an unprecedented year in so many ways. As concerns about the virus spread, we saw a dramatic decline in viewings and hesitation from sellers about putting their homes on the market. Contracts declined 54% over 2018 levels by the beginning of April (see chart below). Since then, we have figured out ways to safely get homes back on the market and conduct showings. Pent-up demand, combined with historically low interest rates, has caused a surge in sales volume. In the first few weeks of July, we saw a 67% increase in contract over 2018. So if you are thinking about buying or selling, call me today to discuss your goals. Summer is the new spring market! n
