Impact

Children who struggle to read often drop out of school, live in poverty and interact with the criminal justice system.
We inspire kids to read through book ownership, free virtual challenges and innovative in-school programs.
On behalf of Share the Magic Foundation, I want to thank you for your dedication in our mission. You are empowering us to inspire thousands of students around the world read to a better future through book ownership and innovative programs. With gratitude for your support in 2022, I am pleased to highlight the year of impact that was made possible because of you.
In 2022, we served 151,244 students in 49 states and six countries, both virtually and in-person. We grew our team, launched our Reader to Leader program, serving middle and high school students and raised $1,171,403 for Read with Malcolm Literacy programs. As a result of financial and operational growth, we expect greater impact across all sectors in 2023.
My goal for 2023 is for each child we serve to find enduring value in reading. We are able to continue this important work because of you.
Thank you for investing in us.
