I want to start off by thanking everyone for choosing Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, we are happy you chose us and can't wait to have you come visit us. At Schiphol our main goal is to make our guest feel at home and have a relaxing and joyous experience whether they call Schiphol home or are eagerly awaiting leaving for their trip. We want Schiphol to be a home away from home for those frequent travelers and help ensure that each one of our guest will have the chance to start making memories the second they enter our beautiful facility.

We want everyone to be able to have an experience they will be happy with while at Schiphol, for this reason we are going to be making some improvements and renovations. With these changes we are positive that everyone who visits us will find something they can relate to and love. Our main project is our new and improved Food Court! I am very excited to introduce this project because we will be able to give every visitor numerous options to ensure they are getting what they want and need. Our new food court will have multiple different stations that will include healthy, vegetarian, gluten free, seafood, and allergy free preparation stations. As well as well-known fast food chains such as McDonald's, Chipotle, Blaze Pizza and Chick-Fil-A. We understand that we will have many guest from many different ethnicities so to be accommodating to all guest our Food Court will have a cultural section, which will feature dining options from over twelve different countries around the world such as, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Mexican, Irish, Polish, Indian, Thai, Asian, German, and Swedish options.

Here at Schiphol we are dedicated to doing what we can to ensure that our guest have the best experiences they could have. We can promise that we will continue to grow and do everything we can to make our customers experience better than the last time they visited us. We can't wait to see you and hope that you are as excited for our new additions as we are!

DIDIERRENAULT Staff Spotlight

Wor k Har d!

Didier Renault is a dear and dedicated member of the Schiphol Airport team. Didier Renault has been with the airport as an Air Traffic Controller for over 27 years and in December 2017 she will retiring.

Didier has dedicated much of her life to the safety of all passengers and flight crews throughout her time at Schiphol and all of her work is appreciated and will be dearly missed.

Didier Renault grew up as an ambitious young women in Galway, Ireland with dreams to succeed and be a successful female in a predominantly male market. She knew that in order to get to where she wanted to be she would have to work hard, and once she started she never stopped.

Renault worked hard throughout her early education and graduated in the top ten percent of her graduating class. Her ambition and drive did not stop upon graduating high school, she continued on the broaden her education and perused a higher education degree at Cambridge University. At Cambridge she studied and double majored in Statistics and Aviation. Upon being hired at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport she had built up an impressive resume with a three year internship experience at London City Airport as a junior Air Traffic Controller and another four years as a Air Traffic Controller Associate at Manchester Airport.

When Renault is not working hard at the airport she is spending time with her friends and family. Renault is a mother to a beautiful fifteen year old son, Henry Renault, and a loving, caring and self less wife to her husband and high school sweet heart, Thomas Renault. Thomas is a proud and supportive husband and though Didier and Thomas spend a lot of time apart he knows that Didier is doing what she loves and what she is good at; that is what matters to him. Didier is known by those she cares for and loves as a selfless and beautiful women on the inside and out, everything she does she does with grave and humbly.

Didier Renault is far from the cookie cutter wife and mother, as a woman who is constantly thriving to do better and be the best version of herself that she can be she lives for competition. She enjoys doing what others say she cannot and showing that women can do anything and everything that men can do. These characteristics lend perfectly to her favorite activity to participate in when she has free time...race car racing. Yes, not only has she been successful in a line of work that is mostly men but she is also a three time competitive racer, something that people associate with men.

From the moment that Renault joined the Schiphol team she has been nothing but a pleasure to work with, constantly dedicating her time to the team and the job. Renault is never found without a smile on her face and does whatever she can to help out her fellow coworkers. Her ambition never stopped and it is clear that she loves the job, the community, and the Airport. Schiphol Amsterdam will miss you!

NOWANNOUNCING: D irect F light F rom Schipol to M agaluf Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is beyond excited and proud to announce a new addition to our airport! Starting in late August 2017, there will now be a dir ect flight from Schiphol Amsterdam Air por t to the beautiful island of M agaluf, Spain. This new addition comes with much excitement and we at Schiphol believe it will allow passengers to start relaxing and the opportunity to start their vacation sooner. Travelers will need to stress no longer about lay overs or catching connecting flights, now getting to Magaluf is as simple as can be. Not only will there be direct f lights but booking a f light will not be overpriced due to limited flights, this flight will be available as often as any other flight would. We want everyone guest of ours to be focused on the memories they are going to make on this trip, not on how they are going to afford the flight. We also do not want our passengers to be stressed about fitting in the flights to their schedules, with flexibility and multiple flights it allows us to help our guests get to wher e they want or need to be in a calm manner. We sincerely hope that this news brings excitement to all who visit us at Schiphol and we are eagerly awaiting your next visit.

TESCO at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport Among our many other exciting changes, Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is ecstatic to announce the new addition to ever y ter minal, Tesco!

Tesco is a multinational, grocery and convenient store. Their services are designed to be able to help and support anyone at anytime. Tesco offers a little bit of everything, such as banking needs to grocer y needs. We believe that Tesco will be a great addition to the terminals at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport because it will allow us to be a more convenient airport. Tesco was founded in 1919 and has been dedicated to being a useful and convenient r esource to its customers and potential new customers. The goals that Tesco has set for themselves closely align with the goals that Schiphol Amsterdam Airport have set which makes for a seamless and smart collaboration.

Tesco at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport will be a smaller version of the stores that can be found across the world. Though this particular location may be smaller it in no way will cut down on the ser vices that the store provides. Tesco Express will continue to be a convenient place for guests and employees to stop at before they board their f light and continue their adventures. In each Tesco Express there will be fresh produce, groceries, toiletries, and pharmacy section. There will also be a section dedicated to clothing; whether you forgot to pack a sweatshir t or you need a mor e comfor table outfit to wear on the plane, you will be able to get something that will make your flight and exper ience mor e enj oyable. Since Tesco offers banking services we are able to place counters in each Tesco Express where visitors will be able to convert their money to multiple different currencies.

Not only will Tesco Express be convenient and useful to all guest that visit Schipol Amsterdam Airport but it will also be a useful r esource to our employees. Whether it is our airport employees or airline employees its convenience will be of use to ever yone in the air por t.

Schiphol Amsterdam Airport strives to be different from our competitors, we want to stand apart and do everything we can possibly do to make our guests happier and have an overall more enjoyable experience. In order to do this we need to constantly be on our feet thinking of new ways to reinvent ourselves, and Tesco Express is our new way, it is the best way for us to continue to please our customers.

With Tesco Express stores in every terminal it will allow for employees to grab something while on break without having to worry about the long lines in the food cour t and it will give employees who are not in the main terminal with the food court an opportunity to have fr esh and delicious food, along with the convenience of being in their terminal.

Tesco Express is also a great thing for those who ar e on flight cr ews. Being on a f light crew can lead to long and packed days. A day could be filled with back to back f lights which makes it very difficult to have enough time to go to a food court and get a meal. But, Tesco Expr ess eliminates this str essful situation.

We believe that Tesco will be greatly appreciated by not only the guest who visit the airport but as well as the employees of Schiphol Amsterdam Airport as it makes their busy days a little bit easier.
