Campus Telehouses There are two Telehouse rooms equipped to a Tier IV standard within the Campus. Primary Telco carriers terminate in this facility and resilient telecommunications services are then extended to all buildings on Campus via underground pipe ducts in “figure of eight” configuration. There are four entries through diverse routes into each building.
Westpark Security Westpark Shannon operates stringent security procedures around the campus, and our ICT infrastructure, is protected by perimeter security, building security and zoned internal security. Access control is provided on a 24/7 basis and there is also extensive CCTV campus surveillance – observed through our central monitoring station.
POWER & GREEN CARBON FOOTPRINT
ELECTRICAL POWER There is a deep transmission system electrical supply connection adjacent to Westpark Business Campus, providing the highest available resilience of utility power from the electrical supply authority. There is currently the capacity to secure significant power supply of reserved power from the local network and there is an abundance of further availability.
GREEN OPPORTUNITY Westpark intends to leverage the unique electrical options in the West of Ireland, to create one of the most eco-friendly data centers on the planet.
