the world -class business campus

€100 million addition to regional economy

WESTPARK COMPANIES EMPLOY 750 PEOPLE The 32 companies based at Westpark Business Campus now employ 750 people and contribute in the region of €100 million per annum to the regional economy in wages and procurement of goods and services. The Westpark business community consists of a unique mix of industry sectors and scale of enterprise. There are vibrant clusters of aviation, ICT, finance and logistics firms. The client base ranges from start-ups and small & medium enterprises (SMEs) to high potential start-ups (HPSUs) and multinationals. The Australian-headquartered financial services multinational, Pepper Asset Servicing, is the latest firm to decide to locate at Westpark. Marking its first entry into the European market, the company took up occupancy of a 13,000 sq ft office suite at the campus this month which will accommodate 130 people. Westpark’s ability to offer a turnkey solution and the fact that it was able to provide Pepper with an office suite consistent with the quality and fit-out standard of its corporate HQ in Sydney were key factors in its decision to locate. A number of existing clients have also expanded their operation within the campus, availing of the flexible options on offer. A financial services HPSU, Vanderbook & Co., is the latest example. “We had a very high level of activity in the second half of 2012, signing agreements with a number of companies to occupy 35,000 sq ft of net lettable space,” said Brian O’Connell, Westpark Managing Director.

Note: Further details on Pepper’s new Westpark facility will be featured in the next edition.

Campus firms collaborate The business community at Westpark is now a very vibrant and cohesive driving force in its own right, according to Brian O’Connell. “A number of tenant networking events have fostered and facilitated practical collaboration and co-operation between companies on the campus. These companies’ greatly valued confidence in the campus is the greatest endorsement we could have for Westpark,” he said. Other factors that have influenced firms to locate include the provision of a one-stop-shop solution by campus management. “Whatever the required needs, we tailor our approach accordingly. Our offering ranges from physical space and flexible leasing terms to high-quality onsite services such as state-of-the-art ICT/Data Centre infrastructure, facility management and extensive conference and restaurant facilities,” the MD added. “What makes Westpark unique in many ways is the diversity of industry and enterprise levels you find here, which offers much potential for beneficial linkages. You also have the full spectrum of campus facilities and wide-ranging supports that are geared to support their operations at all stages,” concluded Mr O’Connell.
