Laker Alumni named Crains' Top 20 in their Twenties

“The relationships established during my time at Our Lady of the Lakes are priceless. Without these friendships I would not have the network of supporters and advocates that are critical to my success today.”

This year, two Laker Alum were named Crains' Detroit Businesses Top 20 in their Twenties. Congratulations to Mike Sullivan and Shannon Long on this accomplishment!

Mike Sullivan, class of 2011, who you might recognize as “Sully” from 97.1 The Ticket, worked at the radio station for 6 years before leaving to focus on building his own business. In 2019, he started Brand25 Media LLC, with co-owner Kyle Bogenshutz, to help companies with digital services, including marketing and running social media accounts. Currently, they have approximately 40 clients ranging from health care companies to country clubs. Its largest customers include NexCare WellBridge Senior Living and Hall Financial.

Shannon Long, class of 2010, started her company, Brew Export LLC after an assignment in her international marketing capstone class at MSU in 2014. She wanted to create a marketing plan to export beer to Singapore and after winning a pitch competition, she decided to take the $1,000.00 winnings and turn her dream into a reality. Long works with approximately 150 craft breweries to get their products to shelves, pubs or events in 30 different countries. Some of her local clients include Ferndale Project, Griffin Claw, and Eastern Market Brewing Co.

We couldn't be more proud of these two Laker Alum for putting faith in their future and becoming the successes they are today.
