Here is a market analysis for your home...
We remain in a low inventory market in May 2024 (latest stats). For the greater Peoria Area Association of REALTORs market area, we are nearly 34 percent down in listing inventory from three years ago and almost 20 percent up in home prices in that same time period. The biggest potential challenge we face now are fluctuating interest rates. The number of potential buyers in Henry tends to be fewer than other towns of similar size in our region. Therefore, days on market does tend to reach 60 or more days.
Here is the latest snapshot of Days on Market for Marshall County from January 2024 to May 2024. New listings and pending sales are down year over year Inventory is edging up, but sales prices are higher than a year ago May. We may be seeing a bit of a shift into a more challenging market for sellers ahead World events, the upcoming election and interest rates are all potential factors that may affect housing sales.
