she’s 12 now and each day i spend with her i’m blown away by the person she is growing into. even though i am the older sister i’m learning things from

olivia was born on the 29th of may 2011. she was so tiny and as i looked at her i knew that i’d protect her. when i had her in my arms to feed her or to simply just hug her, i was so afraid she’d sense how unprepared i was to be a big sister to her. i already had a baby brother who prefered being left alone by me but as she help my pinky it was like all my fear disapeared

when she started every milestone, everday was an adventure i was watching as she learned new things and went on adventures real or imaginary. when the doctors said she failed her hearing test and was diganosed as deaf i spent late nights learning sign language so i could still communicate with her. supporting her on the sidelines

once she learnt to walk she became a spy everday i was getting ready for school she’d sneak into my room and steal my school uniform, and everday i’d chase her around the room loving the giggles. i could of put my uniform somewhere elese but hearing her so carefree and happy made my day 100% better

her relationship between our cat jack was werid as he was anti-social but whenever it was naptime he’d jump up onto the couch with her and keep her company as she slept.

2017 we went to sydnyey for christmas it was also the year she had her surgery to open up her ear cannel, after the operation i was taken back to when she was a toddler and learning how to walk, each day she’d heard a new sound and the amazement clear on her face was the best feeling as a big sister seeing her experiancing something that everyone

a few weeks after the surgery you couldn’t tell she’d only just been able to hear, her new confidence and she had so much attidude it was amazing to witness and take part in to see her so sassy and happy the whole trip in sydney she had a smile plastered on her face 24/7. and it was so fun to take part in her adventures from tronga zoo to her having pigeons on her head.

she’s 12 now and each day i spend with her i’m blown away by the person she is growing into. even though i am the older sister i’m learning things from her and enjoying all the adventures i spend with her from a day at timezone to putt putt golf.
