Desert Botanical Garden A Desert Conservation Pioneer Spread across 55 acres in Phoenix, Arizona, Desert Botanical Garden is home to tens of thousands of cacti, trees and flowers from all around the world including 400 rare and endangered species.

With rugged mountains in the background you can walk along several themed trails to see all the fascinating desert plants, as well as the beautiful birds and insects that are attracted to them. Art is an important part of Desert Botanical Garden with exhibits featuring various artists from all over the world. Sculptors showcase their creations throughout the garden while more fragile art is displayed in the garden’s galleries. Verde Canyon Railroad

Your journey begins at the depot in Clarkdale where you can enjoy the cafĂŠ, gift shop and museum while you wait for your adventure to start. You will travel in first class, caboose, coach, or the locomotive ride-along. All cars have access to open-air viewing with shaded canopies. The meticulously cared for FP7 locomotives, two of only ten remaining in North America, are the muscle that pulls the quarter-mile length of passenger cars.

On your journey you will learn the history of and see the spectacularly beautiful Verde Canyon, nearly unchanged for hundreds and thousands of years, where its unique and protected ecosystem remains unspoiled and rich in geological intrigue and wildlife. Visitors come from all over the world to ride this special train. You can book a train ride for the afternoon or include it with a weekend stay in Sedona, Cottonwood, Clarkdale, or Jerome. In December you can enjoy the Magical Christmas Journey to the North Pole!

AZ/88 is a modern saloon with award winning cocktails and classic cuisine. Since 1988, the interior of minimal design supports everchanging works of art, not unlike a gallery or it's two neighboring museums.

Their specialty drink is the Martini. The award winning craft is filled to the rim in custom hand blown glasses.

AZ/88 has one of the best patios for dining and people watching in the valley. Enjoy a fabulous meal and drink al fresco while overlooking the Scottsdale Civic Center Park.
