For the past century, Cleveland’s eastern shore has been an industrial center, supporting a power plant, airport, marinas, and other factories. The Crux proposes a new blueprint for thriving community on Cleveland’s East side, one that harnesses its greatest asset: its people. By leveraging its unique position at the crossroads of the major creative, cultural, and economic forces, The Crux takes seriously the city’s goal of building strong physical and social connections throughout Cleveland and spurs further reinvestment in St. Clair Superior.

Green Link at Murphy Crossing:
A Catalyst for Belt-line’s Emerald Necklace of Parks and Transit Hubs

Location - Murphy Crossing, Atlanta, GA.
Instructors- Ellen Dunham Jones, Joel Jassu.
The Green Link at Murphy Crossing envisions a dynamic transit-oriented development that sets a benchmark for sustainable urban growth. This project integrates green infrastructure, public spaces, and multi-modal transit to transform Murphy Crossing into a vibrant hub for community life. Anchored by principles of connectivity, exclusivity, and sustainability, the design prioritizes seamless links between neighborhoods, adaptive reuse of historic elements, and spaces that foster social interaction.
Murphy Crossing is more than a development—it’s a blueprint for re-imagining underutilized spaces as thriving, equitable, and people-focused urban centers.
What
if :

Murphy Crossing became the first link in Beltline’s Emerald Necklace, pioneering a model for green transit hubs that combine parks, trails, and MARTA connectivity to serve Atlanta’s future transit-oriented development?
The Belt-line Emerald Necklace: Atlanta’s Public Realm by Alex Garvin and Associates envisions a continuous network of parks, trails, and green spaces encircling Atlanta, connecting neighborhoods and creating accessible public spaces across the city. This ambitious plan combines green infrastructure with mixed-use development, aiming to foster social, economic, and environmental benefits while transforming Atlanta’s urban landscape
FATURES OF MASTER PLAN

Murphy Avenue SW and Lee street Junction

The central plaza serves as a versatile community gathering space. It features a basketball court that can be transformed into an outdoor movie screening area when not in use for games. Surrounded by mixed-use buildings with retail fronts on all sides, the plaza fosters a vibrant atmosphere, encouraging social interaction and shared experiences for all.

TRAIL AND TRANSIT SECTION THROUGH CENTRAL PLAZA
Transplanting Strategy for Trees Planted by Trees Atlanta
To preserve the trees planted by Trees Atlanta along the Belt Line, a transplanting plan is proposed. After the Light Rail Transit (LRT) is introduced, these trees will be relocated to the Green Plaza and Green Link within the TOD. This ensures their ecological value is retained, enhances green public spaces, and aligns with the project’s sustainable goals.

LE PELURE -Fashion meets architecture ( Re- Thinking future of schools )

Location - Tremezzina, Province of Como, Italy I 2020
Group - Associated with ID+AS (Integrated Design + Architecture Studio )
Located amidst the picturesque Lake Como in Milan, Italy, La Pelure Fashion Institute blends architecture and fashion, drawing inspiration from iconic designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Prada. The building’s stacked formation provides panoramic views, while its Voronoi-patterned façade, inspired by Italy’s silk production, creates a striking visual identity.
The design emphasizes fluidity, with circular courtyards ensuring ample light and ventilation. Roofs slope into adjacent blocks, forming informal meeting spaces with scenic lake views. Thoughtfully zoned into public, semi-public, and private areas, the institute showcases vibrant colors, movement, and harmony, seamlessly merging structure and style.

Voronoi tesselation is derived from the way the insect spins the silk thread around it.

06(RE) CODING MUMBAI
Research and Documentation of Mumbai Streets and Building Typologies.

Typology Documentation
I participated in a research and documentation project with sPare, where volunteers were organized into teams to analyze and document various structures and roads across Mumbai. These typologies were chosen for their distinctive characteristics, which reflect the city’s dynamic urbanization.

deployed within contemporary urban contexts.
The documented structures and roads act as temporal and spatial markers, capturing deviations and unique patterns within the broader logic of the urban landscape. Additionally, they offer insights into potential ideas and typologies that can be reimagined and applied to contemporary urban contexts, enriching the dialogue around sustainable and adaptive urban development.
Street Documentation
The project focused on five streets within Bandra, Mumbai, each surrounded by distinct neighborhoods and cultural contexts but located within the same area. This juxtaposition highlighted the complex nature of these streets and served as a foundation for deeper analysis.
Each street exhibited a unique character embedded in the urban fabric, shaped by its surrounding neighborhood. My role was to document these relationships and the varying street typologies. This involved creating detailed representations through plans, sections, and isometric drawings, along with conducting comparative analyses. These efforts aimed to understand the individual and collective characteristics of the streets, offering insights for enhancing their functionality and identity within the urban context.
