Welcome to a unique opportunity to become a vital part of the Steyning Grammar School (SGS) community!
The Alumni Ambassador Scheme is your chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the experiences of prospective families and students interested in the exceptional boarding education that SGS offers.
What is the Alumni Ambassador Scheme?
Alumni ambassadors are advocates of our school, providing an authentic perspective on the enriching journey of having a child at SGS boarding. By connecting with, sharing and assisting future students and families, alumni ambassadors contribute to our vibrant community in various ways:
Connect: engage with prospective families, sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for the outstanding boarding education at SGS.
Network: talk directly to friends and colleagues with school-age children, spreading the word about the unique offerings at our school.
PARENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME
Share: post school news on your social media and local pages, forums and parent groups, creating a buzz about the incredible opportunities SGS has to offer.
Reach out: establish connections with feeder schools in your home country for open and recruitment events.
Represent: act as a representative of SGS at education events and school marketing activities in your home country.

What support do we offer?
Your role as an Alumni ambassador is crucial and unique. To ensure you can effectively share the SGS experience, we provide:
Webinar: participation in an initial webinar to discuss the USPs of the school and boarding facilities.
Updates: receive termly updates about the latest happenings in boarding to share with your network.
Resources: access relevant marketing materials electronically or receive physical copies where possible.

do we expect from Alumni Ambassadors?
Your commitment to representing SGS is essential to the success of the Alumni Ambassador Scheme. We ask you to:
Network: represent SGS at networking events in your home country, such as sixth form open evenings. Inform: keep SGS informed about student recruitment opportunities in your home country.
PARENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME
Recommend: recommend families to apply to SGS, and ensure they inform us when they apply for your bonus payment eligibility.
Annual review: our working relationship will be reviewed annually to ensure continued success and alignment.

What are the benefits of being an Alumni Ambassador?
Being an Alumni Ambassador comes with perks! We offer:
£750 for the first time you refer a new family and their child accepts a place at SGS- discounted from boarding fees if a current parent. Thereafter, £500 every time you refer a new family and their child accepts a place at SGS- discounted from boarding fees if a current parent.
