by Lindsey Anderson SGN Contributing Writer On April 9, Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights and Refuse Fascism came together for their monthly protest of anti-abortion legislation, an action that has gained traction in many red states. As the events have inspired more activists to march in the streets, especially youth activists, they have also drawn attention from counterprotesters, who were known to get violent in the past.

Despite threats of protests from religious and alt-right organizations, activist Margo Heights has tirelessly worked to ensure that the marches will go on. She says the protesters indicate that the country is moving toward a more conservative future and demonstrate just how important reproductive rights activism is right now. “The counterprotesters are a sign of how the Christian fascist movement is anticipat-

It doesn’t end at “Double Jeopardy!” An interview with the women behind Seattle’s latest trivia pop-up

by Nick Rapp SGN Contributing Writer After the iconic success of Jeopardy! star Amy Schneider, trivia seems more on everyone’s minds than ever lately. Two women from Seattle, Sally Neumann and Leah Caglio, are Jeopardy! champs and trivia buffs as well (from 2016 and 2021, respectively). They met in a University of Washington honors English seminar,

when Caglio was working on a crossword in the back of class. Since then, they’ve developed a close friendship, and this past year, they decided to start their own trivia company, named “Head in the Clouds,” to continue the fun. The SGN got the chance to speak with them about shaping a company out of love of trivia and a desire to expand the categories of what is askable.
